zero sales since i started the thread :) maybe others have decent sales

2
11 sales last month, only 2 sales this month. Overall average of 6 sales per month with a port of 130 videos.

So do you see any improvement after the rebranding of videoblocks ?

3
Been waiting several weeks on some test files.  Still just sitting there in the queue.

me too, its been a month since some files are in queue, like they frozen everything. well I have a very small port of 150 but still...

4
Just curious. I have a small port and my sales are a big ZERO on storyblocks. I am with them since this summer
Are you talking about video or photos?
Video, yse I do sell some.
Not a lot, but sometimes at very high prices.
Photos sales missing in action, nothing, nada, niente, niet, nudu nuddu, rien, zero. Have I made my point?

Yes you made your point and yes I was talking about photos. well I guess maybe they are trying to convince the videoblocks clients to also buy photos from them and it seems its not working  :)

you could try xpiks that is totaly free and has a very clean interface but it does not submit your content like stocksubmitter an you will still have to visit the sites to finish your upload process

Unfortunately I dont have a fotolia account because i am relatively new but maybe this info will benefit the people that olny have AS accounts

I recently did a image search on some of my images and found one of them on some site that seems to be partner with fotolia and to my surprise I could see the number of views and downloads. I checked the number of downloads on Adobe stock and it was the same so it makes sense that also the views to be from AS
here is the link:
https://gamesageddon.com/stock

I am really missing the view statistics because its an indicator of what buyers search for and on how to improve your images or keywords and many other things. I dont understand why so many stock sites choose to blind us from this client interaction.  :-\

one more thing I forgot to mention is that about a month ago I uploaded 3 videos of the same camera and all have been approved for comercial use without any logo removed. So they accept videos but not photos of the same subject

It;s not just the rollei that is identifiable, the Zeiss Jena lens with the Exacta mount is even more obvious.

The twin lens camera is a Seagull, and the other two are an Exacta vx500 and a Kodac Retina with a folding lens.
I guess I will submit as editorial ( I allready got the third rejection and I am not going to insist anymore )
I am a little frustrated about this. good thing I only made just 3 concepts to test the waters...
Thank you all for explaining and helping

Its so frustrating because all agencyes AS, IS, Alamy, pond5, storyblocks accepted this items....
Just another question: If I am selling comercial on other sites is it ok to sell editorial on SS ?

Intellectual Property -- Image potentially infringes on another person's intellectual property rights (e.g., image contains artwork, writing, sheet music, or objects protected by copyright).

I dont understand why this image gets rejected for the second time. I have removed all the logos an even serial numbers from the cameras and lenses and they still rejected this photo and others like this one from the same batch. Some other agencies like istock and Adobe Stock accepted the files with no problem after logo retouching. Maybe there is someone who also made similar photos that can give me any advice ?

Hi, I am also a novice but from what I have learned on this forum I think you have to many similar images. I looked at your fruit and vegetables and you have 3 pages of an apple splashing the water that is about 300 images. I agree there are diferent stiles of splashes but I think about 5 or 10 would have been more than enough IMO. Other than that your tehnique is very nice  8)

Adobe Stock / Re: Two new Adobe Stock features
« on: October 20, 2017, 06:14 »

Question 3. How do I delete one of the 20 collections to make place for a new one?

I also would like to know how to do that. So far, in my experiments, I've created 3 collections with mostly the same images. I only want to keep one of the three but can't figure out how to remove the other two.

And once I've got two great collections that I want to feature, how do I specify the one whose first photo I want to "star" in the header at the top?

Vladimir, good buddy, can you help me with these questions, too?  :D

Unfortunately I dont see any way to delete collections. the only option I see is to remove all the pictures in that collection and again about the cover picture there is no way of changing it yet. We just have to wait and see how fast Adobe will make the appropriate adjustment for our request  :P

Thanks, Mat, for letting us know about this fine new feature.

Over the last hour, I selected an image for my custom header. That hasn't shown up yet, but it will soon, I'm sure. It's late now, and I don't mind waiting until tomorrow to see how that choice turned out.

But here's an unexpected problem I encountered

I perused my 2,000+ portfolio and selected 150 landscape images for my first collection. When I got to the end of that process, I gave the collection a title and clicked the button to create the collection. Up came an error message to the effect that the collection could not be created. No explanation why not. Now that was frustrating, especially since my selection of images was not saved along the way.

I will attempt this again tomorrow evening with a smaller selection of images to see if I can figure out what my error was.

However, if you, Mat, or anybody else has an idea about why my first attempt didn't work, I'd be grateful for a tip or two.

Thanks again!

This is what I ended up doing:

1.Select the cover picture for the collection ( The cover picture is the first picture you start your selection )
 2.Click add to collection
 3.Name your Collection
4.Keep adding to that collection in small numbers just to avoid the frustration of any errors (at least in this early stage of development )

It would be helpful for the client to have access to all of our collections and not be limited to just two - you could make a link button " see other collections "

Pond5 / Re: woooow my first sale on POND5
« on: September 29, 2017, 08:36 »
after a year of nothingness  ;D.
It made me 2.50 $.
I have 100 photos and 13 videos, so its a very very very small port. glad I could finaly see that happy email :)

Pond5 pays 50% and the artist is free to decide the item's price.

As per their policy minimum price for videos should be 25, but even if it was an image 5 is quite low

Anyway...the artist decides...

well, yes it was an image sale...after a year of selling nothing (pics or video) I decided to lower the price from 10 $ to 5 $ per image. I set the price for my video at 40 $ (previously 50 $ )
I know 5$ for an image is low but what do you  think the minimum should be ? I am not at a profesional level...
