Hi,
I have $27 of Unpaid earnings. I didn't have any sale since March 2017, so I in recent weeks I have been trying to request payment and close the account. Despite sending a few e-mails I didn't receive any response.
Has anyone had any luck getting a payout from them ? What can I legally do to request payout and close the account ?
Thanks!

Hi!
I have been in stock photography for more than 10 years now so I guess this is the high time to try my luck with stock footage.
What software would you recommend for editing stock footage. In particular I mean color grading, slow motion, adding flares etc. I know After Effects of course, but maybe there is a cheaper alternative to start with ?
Thanks!

Hi!
I guess the first week of May is going to be remarkably slower, right ? There is labor day in many countries and people take the whole week off. Could anyone confirm that from your earnings history ? How is it in your country ?
Best!

It seems so. Sometimes I need to just quckly find and download an image from my portfolio. I always used 123rf for that purpose, now they want to charge me for downloading my own images. Is there any agency out there which allows to find and download one's own images for free ?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have always been using Stock Performer, it is not perfect (does not support Canva and Creative Market for instance), but I generally liked the features on their Eagle plan such as collections. Now I am looking for some cheaper alternative. Have anyone used Microstockr or maybe some other service and would recommend it? It must be safe and reliable.
Thanks, Michal

Hi,
Investing hundreds or thousands in a photoshoot (models, props, make-up artist etc) and uploading these images to microstock agencies doesn't seem to make sense any longer.
Do you recommend any boutiqe/ high end/ mid or macrostock agencies (whatever you call it) where it still make sense to work on stock photography ? I mean good curation (preferably with direct contact with curators), fair commission and most importantly - good sales. I have nothing against exclusivity (image exclusive).
Of course Stocksy is a good example, but it is just one I am aware of.

Hi,
I received payment from 500px and was charged a fee by Paypal (about 4%). I contacted 500px and they say they did realize payment via Paypal mass payment so there should not be any fee. I encourage you to look at your Paypal account and see if you are not charged for something you should not be. Please let me know if this is normal for 500px Paypal payments.

Hi,
I haven't uploaded to Veer for about 2 years. Is it worth to upload again ? How are your sales there as compared to other agencies ?
Thanks!

In Poland I pay 18-32% and I consider it quite a lot. Thinking about moving my business to Malta or Luxembourg I am curious how it looks in other places. Cheers!

I am considering giving a try to this analytics tool, but as always I am concerned about security. I know they don't require you to type your login and password but they do require to install a browser extension. Isn't it esentially the same ? They retrieve all the data from your account. I don't think it is difficult in this situation to get login and password. Am I wrong ? Can someone disabuse me out of mistake ?
Thanks!

Hi,
As far as I can see the symbiostock website is dead and the project is cancelled. I consider it disrespectful towards people who paid for the premium upgrade and/or the child theme and more importantly spent A LOT of time creating the site and supporting the project. Nevertheless, I would need a symbiostock theme with a premium upgrade (I paid for it) for a small project. Does anyone one where I can download it?
Thanks,

Hi! I am on Pond5 through Yaymicro api program and I am considering uploading to Pond5 directly. They do not have "upload and forget" offer for contributors . I contacted them I received a bot-like response that I can send them pictures on a hard drive, but still would need to make thousands of clicks to get them sent. I consider their system quite laborious e.g. it does not read about half of the titles of my images and it seems that I would need to spend about 3-5 days getting it all sent to their curators. What are you experiences? Are they worth all this effort ? Thanks, Michal

199 Euro seems to be a bit exaggerated. I understand there is a lot of a valuable material, but come on, wouldn't 50 Euro be enough ?

Hi! $ has been losing recently to EURO and other European currencies. A question to fellow European contributors - How do you handle this problem? Do you exchange your dollars on Paypal as soon as a payment arrives, or do you wait for better times to make an exchange (then your are not only a stock photographer but also a broker ! ) ? Not to mention that Paypal steals takes 2,5% from the currency exchange.... Michal

Do people upload their Christmas holidays backlog ? Over 200.000 is definitely too much, uploading now is like throwing the images in the abyss

I'm setting up my symbio site and I'm about to upload the pictures. Applying categories to every image would be big amount of work so is it possible to omit this step? Would it influence networking or seo?
Thanks! Michal

Hi,
I am building my symbiostock website and have been trying to upload a few first pictures. Everything's fine apart from the DPI issue that may be confusing to buyers. Let's see one of my files sizes options:
Bloggee jpg 3.47" 2.32" @ 72 dpi 250 167px 4.50 Small jpg 13.89" 9.26" @ 72 dpi 1000 667px 9.50 Medium jpg 6.67" 4.44" @ 300 dpi 2000 1333px 15.00 Large jpg 18.72" 12.48" @ 300 dpi 5616 3744px
I would like the symbiostock theme to convert all uploaded files to 300dpi, cause now it might seem to a buyer that the Small size 13.89" 9.26" 72 dpi is bigger than Medium 6.67" 4.44" 300 dpi. Is there any solution for that?
Thanks! Michal
