Anyone else tried Luma AI? https://lumalabs.ai/Here's my first attempt, created from a video, walking around the post box 3 times, with the camera high, head level and low. Can rotate the image, zoom in and out. Can make stills from it, or video, or import it into blender. I haven't got a clue what I'm doing, but it was fun. This would be an interesting future for photography/video. Make a video of the scene, then make whatever photos or video clips you want from it. Hope someone here is into this and can explain it better than I can. https://lumalabs.ai/embed/21a9409c-7714-44cb-9b71-8247947082a8?mode=sparkles&background=%23ffffff&color=%23000000&showTitle=true&loadBg=true&logoPosition=bottom-left&infoPosition=bottom-right&cinematicVideo=undefined&showMenu=false

This is a bit different, AI generated videos, that use stock images. Left istock years ago, but I guess the other stock sites will jump on this, if it works? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYcUjeWk8II

Anyone using Bitclout? I don't take it seriously, as it uses its own cryptocurrency. Has an active community at the moment, but you never know if that's going to last. I don't spend any money on things like this, it's just for fun. NFTs are coming, I still don't understand them, but if I can make some for free, I might give it a go. I should put a warning here, cryptocurrency can seriously damage your wealth https://bitclout.com/u/sharpshot

Got PhotoDirector 8 for 39.99 and impressed so far. Going to take a few days to adjust from using my usual Photoshop elements and camera raw. Seems more like Lightroom but hopefully with this and The Gimp, I wont need to get another version of elements. Anyone else using it? Seems great value compared to other software I've used.

I thought this had been fixed but all my new uploads were defaulted for the free section again today and I had to change it. Are they ever going to fix this?

Just got a Ricoh Theta and had some fun with it today. Probably never use it for stock but if you have Google cardboard or a similar VR viewer, this does make it feel much more like you are there. The quality is poor but I still like it. https://theta360.com/s/2PmB2BsA1U1vg7XxQw5wn5fwuIf anyone else here has a Ricoh Theta or anything that can be use to produce 360x180 photos, please post them here.

I've been away and went to look at my site when I came back and just had the white screen of death. Looked in my Bluehost cPanel and found the problem. PHP had switched from 5.3 to 5.4. I didn't do that, it happened while I was away. Is there any way to stop that happening or get my site to work with PHP 5.4?
I do need to do some updates, I'm using Symbiostock 2.5.6 and Clean Theme 2.0.0

Are you tired of reading all these threads about the latest problems with istock? I can understand exclusives sticking with them but isn't it time non-exclusives did something? I know lots of people have already left or removed images but it seems like there's lots that spend time whinging about them while doing noting about it. We did do something positive with D-Day and that was a success for me. I removed my 500 best images and have no regrets. Perhaps the best thing to do is to inform any buyers you know that istock pay non-exclusives 15 to 19% commission. The few I've spoken to are shocked by how little we get paid. Now that prices have been slashed for non-exclusives and I'll be getting another commission cut at the end of the year, I'll start removing more images.

Not sure if this was mentioned before and I've forgotten but for some reason I just looked at the Picturenation site and they're closing August 17th. If anyone here has money with them, ask for it via their contact page. http://www.picturenation.co.uk/

Just had an email from Clipcanvas that my clip of boats in Penzance harbour on a misty day is the Bing background today. Hope it brings in some sales. http://www.bing.com/

Just received an email that Snapixel is closing at the end of August. Not a big earner but I did get a couple of payouts. Thanks for trying and good luck with your future projects. Sad to see another site go but there's so many now, it's inevitable that more will close. There's at least 10 at the bottom of the low earners list here that I don't think have any long term prospects.

This new compact from Sony looks good. The samples at low ISO are quite impressive. http://www.dpreview.com/previews/sony-dsc-rx100I held off getting the Canon PowerShot G1 X because it's too big for a compact. This one is much smaller, it's sensor is smaller than the G1 X but I can see it fitting in my pocket.

Just did the Fotolia survey. It was better than the istock one but I kept filling in the extra box that commission cuts are their biggest problem. Hope they take notice but they will probably decide that the way forward is another commission cut

Just watched "We'll Take Manhattan" and "David Bailey: Four Beats to the Bar and No Cheating". They were shown on BBC4, so probably wont get many viewers. "We'll Take Manhattan" is being repeated a lot. It was quite enjoyable, it's amazing how things have changed since the early 60's. I've always rated David Bailey as a photographer and I've only really seen him as an older man. It was interesting to see how he started out. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01b674shttp://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01b4x1l

This camera looks great, I hope they don't price it too high. They claim the sensor could match or be superior to full frame cameras but I won't beleive it untill I see a few tests. If it's as good as they claim, I dread to think how much people will pay for it. http://www.dpreview.com/news/2012/01/10/FujifilmXPro1_Preview
