Except for the newbies with bright eyes who are flooding the microstock sites with unimpressive content some "veteran" stock stockers I know are finding a way out.
I started to shoot for local businesses mainly interior, headshots, food and commercial products etc. and had made $10,000 since late august last year. I leverage the photography experience I've gained from shooting stock. Haven't had much time for stock since then. Average job is around $200.

Recently I have on several occasions my uploads being rejected with message "File contains invalid keywords, title, or description. Please ensure keywords describe only what is physically and prominently visible in the file."
The same files were uploaded to all other agencies with no problem.
I'm thinking of not to upload to them anymore because to delete those files one by one take ages. Better off spending the time creating new images.

At the moment whatever I upload via Deepmeta becomes royal free images. I want to start to submit editorial files and how do I specify them as editorial files? I can't see there is a selection for it in Deepmeta.

Filling Fotolia categories are getting to be time-consuming.
To start with the categories offered are not comprehensive and there are limited choices to select from.

Since yesterday uploading by DeepMetade to istock does not seem to be working well.
It is very slow and I get 2 or 3 of the same files appearing when I check istock. Going through the process of deleting the extra files is another pain.

For the past two months I've noticed that whether by using upload by browser or FTP all my submitted files will disappear after I press submit. They don't appear in Pending.
It seems like such a waste of time.

I'm amazed by the Dreamtime's payout speed today. It's 6 hours interval between payment request and the money going into paypal. Dreamtime has always been the faster paymaster in microstock. I think Photodune should be among the slowest one. It takes a month for them to process the payment. And another interval before the money actually going into paypal. A month is a long time in microstock.

http://www.microstockposts.com/yuri-arcurs-drops-microstock-and-goes-with-getty/We have found a good distribution partner (Getty Images) for the kind of content we produce. We will be removing all images from microstock doing the next few weeks. Microstock, especially subscription sites, are not suited for the kind of high production cost images we produce. At last the common sense of not flying a group of gorgeous models to an exotic island staying in a 4 stars hotel and sell the photos for $1 has prevailed. This is going to be good for stock photography as a whole.

Looks like a few microstock shooters have found out about their images appearing in a low budget stock easyfotostock by an agency called Kalium.
Please check and see whether your images are there.

I've found out my images in a traditional site. They are there under a company called "Kalium".
I use different pseudonyms in different sites. Can it be either Veer or Canstock?

RM is a green field with still untapped potentials for microstockers. Some microstock sites are making an inroad into it. It is less competitive than RF files which are reaching saturation.
How are you fairing in RM?

I have been using a 10MP camera for years.
With everything equal e.g. subjects, lighting, composition etc. would I be able to make more money by upgrading to a 18MP camera?
One obvious disadvantage I see is slowing down uploading time with larger files.
A few of my friends are istock exclusive shooters using 21MP cameras. They told me they rarely sold files of such size in istock. But one of them said 21MP files give him better ranking in istock.
