We are very pleased to announce that we've begun producing and shipping orders from our new fulfillment center... in the United Kingdom! Effective immediately, if a buyer purchases a canvas print and ships it to any address in the UK or Europe, the order will be fulfilled by our UK fulfillment center. What does that mean? It means that the order will ship to any address in the UK within one business day... and to any address in Europe within 2 - 5 business days! It also means low shipping rates... no import taxes... and a whole new market of buyers for your artwork! We're starting out with canvas prints, and we'll be expanding to include other products at the UK fulfillment center very, very quickly. The UK center will be fulfilling orders for all of our websites, including Pixels.com, FineArtAmerica.com, FineArtEurope.com, Instaprints.com, ArtistWebsites.com, and all of the others. This includes your personal Artist Website and your shopping cart widgets, as well. If the buyer is shipping the order to the UK or Europe, then the order will automatically be produced at the UK fulfillment center so that the buyer receives the order as quickly as possible with the lowest possible shipping charge. If the order is being shipped to the United States, Canada, or anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere, then the order will continue to be produced at one of our U.S. fulfillment centers. If you've read this far... here comes the fun part. Starting now through August 31st, we're offering FREE SHIPPING on all canvas orders that get shipped to any country in the UK or Europe. You don't need a special code to receive the free shipping offer. Just add a canvas print to your shopping cart, select a shipping address in the UK or Europe, and you're all set. In less than a week, we'll deliver a museum-quality masterpiece to your doorstep with a 30-day money-back guarantee! Tell your friends... tell your family... tell your followers on Facebook and Twitter... your online art business just went global! This is just the beginning of our expansion all over the world... stay tuned... http://fineartamerica.com/newsletters/uk-fulfillment-center.html?id=f438874c7ebef0b43da27291d9db6d9a

After a year of operating, were getting close to that magic number of $200,000 in royalty payments per month, Livingstone says. We hit profitability after eight months, started spending again and now were in profitability again. Its evidence that were there. After a year, for any business, its kind of unheard of, especially for an online start-up." When I was at iStock, the profit margin was around 70 per cent. Thats a ton, Livingstone says. So we felt, after I sold iStock, that there was a way to share more and a way to be more altruistic with our goals of trying to help photographers by paying them as much as possible. http://www.vicnews.com/news/258039681.html(source: https://www.facebook.com/ThoughtsBohemian)

Getty photographers are getting some surprising insights into the use of their images on Pinterest as they review their Getty sales reports this month. For many photographers over half the reported sales are for Pinterest/Portal usage. The gross fee paid to Getty for such usages is $0.03 and the photographers royalty share is $0.01. LATE NOTICE MOTION AGREED UNANIMOUSLY AT THE LPB MARCH MEETING: This DM is appalled at Gettys decision to make its photographic content available free of charge for so-called non-commercial use, thereby further undermining the ability of photographers to earn a living. This DM instructs the NEC to ensure NUJ publications avoid the use of Getty Images and to call upon all members to boycott the purchase or use of Getty Images photographic content wherever possible until Getty reverses this decision. http://londonphotographers.org/2014/03/lpb-calls-for-getty-images-boycott/source ( https://www.facebook.com/ThoughtsBohemian)

Dear Contributors, Fotolia is taking steps to improve revenues for every hardworking contributor, and align our offers with the marketplace. As a part of this, print runs for our Standard License will be updated to 500,000. This means all customers requiring unlimited print runs for projects will require an Extended License - which will mean higher royalties. The unlimited print run clause in our Standard Licenses was originally inserted to match the needs of consumers, but a changing market means we are now updating this offer. We have decided to include Extended Licenses for all images available on the Fotolia website, and to remove the Extended License opt-out option from our indexing tools. Images not previously offered in the Extended License will now be proposed at 20 Credits - but this price can be modified by you (depending on your rank). Look out for the new changes being rolled out over the next 2 weeks. These higher sales of Extended Licenses will enable higher rewards for all of you our amazing image creators! Kind regards, The Fotolia Team http://us.fotolia.com/Newsletter/InBrowser/2/130/200981866
