123RF / 123RF Payment matters (PAYONEER)
« on: April 16, 2020, 14:39 »
Got mail from 123RF:

"Hi there!

Trust this email finds you in good health. :)

We have sent you your earnings to your PAYONEER account on the 15th April 2020. The amount however, is still listed as Unclaimed.

Please claim your payment at the soonest, latest by the 16th so that payment can be properly processed from your Payoneer to your bank account. Failure to claim your payment in time may result in an Unclaimed status for your payment which will be returned back to your account at 123RF.

If you did not claim your payment in time and funds are not successfully transferred to your account by the 21st April, don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] so we can assist to ensure payment is scheduled to your account in the following month.

PhotoDune / What a "nice" surprise
« on: February 06, 2017, 19:35 »
After more than 5 years being contributor and according to their site still among the top 50 authors, sold more than xx.000$, became top 20 authors of the month with an item that was trending, port size with more than 14k items, today I received mail from PD:

"As part of our library-wide assessment of photos on PhotoDune, weve done a review of your portfolio. Unfortunately, the sample we looked through resulted in a very high number of photos that did not meet our new library standards.Over the coming weeks well be removing your PhotoDune portfolio as part of our clean up process"

Guess they need images from the moon with signed property release form!
I'll survive without Envato :) but one day if I go to the moon I'll be happy to upload more images from space

Wish you all the best and see you in the next life ENVATO!

Off Topic / David Bowie dies of cancer aged 69

David Bowie was the Picasso of pop. He was an innovative, visionary, restless artist: the ultimate ever-changing postmodernist. Space oddity is over!
RIP

Reuters has implemented a new worldwide policy for freelance photographers that bans photos that were processed from RAW files. Photographers must now only send photos that were originally saved to their cameras as JPEGs.

The announcement was made to freelance photographers this week via this short email from a Reuters pictures editor:

Hi,

Id like to pass on a note of request to our freelance contributors due to a worldwide policy change.. In future, please dont send photos to Reuters that were processed from RAW or CR2 files. If you want to shoot raw images thats fine, just take JPEGs at the same time. Only send us the photos that were originally JPEGs, with minimal processing (cropping, correcting levels, etc).

Shutterstock.com / Shutterstock doesn't read IPTC data on video
« on: February 19, 2015, 18:51 »
No problem with P5 but Shutterstock doesn't read IPTC data on video files! Using DB gallery to edit ITPC. Is it software or SS doesn't read IPTC at all?
Thanks,

Mail from Istock October 16, 2014:

We are reaching out to you today to inform you that there will be a short delay in processing your Payment Request this week. We are working with Moneybookers to resolve the issue as quickly as we can.

We expect that the payments will be issued to you before the end of day Friday October 17th, 2014.

Today another mail :

Hello there,
We apologize for the delay in your Moneybookers payment for October 15th. Unfortunately there was a processing error with a handful of payments which not only resulted in the delay, but also a double payment.
To avoid having to make adjustments to your account, we would like to kindly ask that you return or reject the double-payment via Moneybookers if possible.
If you are unable to do so, and you have enough funds in your iStock account, we will deduct the amount from your account by creating an additional payment request that will not get paid out.
If you are unable to reject the payment and you do not have the funds in your account we will make a manual adjustment to remove the double-payment.
Please let us know whether you were able to return or reject the payment.
We really apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
Regards,
Chris McBurney Lobo

My question is: Does anyone know how to reject funds on MB. I can't see reject button there?
Thanks

General Stock Discussion / How to tag footage with keywords?
« on: March 27, 2014, 18:28 »
Does anyone know how to tag footage with keywords. I'm looking for some video IPTC editing software(freeware). Tried windows explorer but it doesn't work because tags are not written into footage. Using Windows 7.

Shutterstock.com / Slow review again?
« on: February 06, 2014, 14:47 »
In the last 3-4 months reviews were pretty fast 1-2 days. The last batch waiting review since 1st (Saturday) of Feb.
I'm afraid that files were lost somewhere so they're not visible to reviewers. Is it only me or they really slow down?
Thanks,

« on: November 05, 2013, 08:30 »
Well this is the first time I get this rejection reason for all 10 pictures in batch. Previous 10 all accepted!

"Text would be too difficult for a customer to remove, please correct and resubmit."

I don't understand what to correct translation needed.
Any idea?
