General - Stock Video / Freepik Wants My Videos For A Price
« on: February 16, 2024, 03:57 »
Hello everybody,

I've been approached by a manager from Freepik Company;

- We found your portfolio and we would like you to become a contributor in Freepik as well. This would be a non-exclusive agreement and we would pay you a fixed price for this content that will be offered for free to our users.

Did this already happened to anyone?  What are your thoughts?

Shutterstock.com / Slow server
« on: September 12, 2018, 10:04 »
Hello,

Is anyone here experiencing a slow server problem when uploading through FTP ?

I have a fast internet connection here. Same files uploaded to other agencies servers are going 10x faster than shutterstocks lately. Really annoying  >:(

Shutterstock.com / 1,50$ video commission????
« on: September 16, 2017, 07:28 »

1,50$ is the lowest commission I ever got since "Istock times" (about 3years Ago)

I didn't even know this was possible...

ps: It's a 4K video at its origin :(

VideoBlocks / 4K sales
« on: August 24, 2017, 11:30 »
Hi everyone,

I have more then 1000 videos in 4K format and I have never sold one in VB. They sell, but always downscaled to HD. Every single time in the past 2 years as a contributor.

The other 3 agencies (P5, SS and FT) are selling my 4K videos every once in a while...

I wonder what are your experiences selling 4K videos in VB comparing to other agencies?

Adobe Stock / Adobe Paying 17,5$ - 1080p
« on: April 26, 2016, 10:35 »
Hello

Adobe Stock is supposed to pay 28$ per video 1080p, but I keep making sales for only 17,5$  per video 1080p.
Does anyone else have the same problem here?

cheers

Shutterstock.com / Low Commissions
« on: January 21, 2016, 09:06 »
Hello,

Shutterstock pays 30% commission of 79$ for each 1080p video sold, which is about 23,70$.

Well, the last time i've done 23,70$ was in the 16th November 2015. I've sold 32 videos since then and they all showed up with different numbers like; 19,30$ / 19,32 / 19,36 / 17,21 / 16,25, etc.....

32 videos in 2 months and none of them reached 23,70$??  I feel that they are lowering the commission ....  :(

Could anyone tell me how Shutterstock calculates the contributors commission per 1080p video sold?

Thanks in advance

General - Stock Video / Fotolia review team sucks!
« on: November 18, 2015, 06:36 »
Hello,

I have just started with Fotolia because of the "Adobe thing" and I have uploaded some of my best footage in there.
The problem is that they keep rejecting lots of them for no reason. Even some animation backgrounds have been refused.

They say that the review team works separtely from the Fotolia team and they cannot explain the reasons that footage is rejected.

Many of these rejected files are selling a lot in websites like Shutterstock, Pond5 and VideoBlocks. No problem at all!

This is my first experience on Fotolia and I don't think I'll stay anylonger in there...

Anyone with same problem here?

cheers
