Hi all,

Now sure if I just don't see the option or it doesn't exist anymore, but how do I edit my keywords with published images?
I also can't find a way to delete images :-[

Please, help!

Thanks

Shutterstock.com / New stuff doesn't sell..
« on: May 01, 2017, 22:19 »
Just wondering does it even make sense to upload with such a terrible performance by the new content?
I normally don't submit a lot, maybe it'd be better to just hold off until they switch the search again and then submit all in bulk? :-\

Alamy.com / Alamy payment
« on: April 25, 2017, 22:11 »
Hi all, how fast does Alamy pay after the balance is over 50$? Or do they pay on a particular day once a month like SS?

Thanks!

Adobe Stock / Uploading problems at FT
« on: April 08, 2017, 06:23 »
Anyone had issues with uploading to FT lately? I've tried both in the last few days - web upload and FZ, but it keeps showing errors. My internet is somewhat slow now, but I had no problems uploading to my other agencies.

Is uploading easier through Adobe for you?

Thanks!

Adobe Stock / How are your Fotolia sales in October?
« on: October 18, 2016, 14:37 »
Is it on par with September and earlier months? I'm used to ups and downs with FT but this October is too quiet, December style. Anyone having the same?

Adobe Stock / Fotolia lightboxes

Hi all, do you use the lightboxes at Fotolia?
Is it the tool for contributors and does it work like "sets" at SS?

Many thanks

Hi all,

I would like to know if anyone of you ever reported the ports with spammy titles and if so, has anything been done about it by SS? Does Shutterstock react to these reports?

One of my images used to be #1 under the keyword "Honduras" (don't laugh at me) for almost a year, a few other images of mine were in the first lines and sold a lot, then lately I noticed more and more illustrations coming to the top of the search with spam in the titles, like this portfolio, for instance: https://www.shutterstock.com/g/Aquir

I'm not looking who to blame for lower sales :) I'm just thinking whether it makes sense to report the spammers? And do you think they really make their way up the search because of the spammy titles?

Thanks

Alamy.com / Alamy RM v. RM exclusive
« on: March 03, 2016, 08:18 »
I have a few editorial photos with Alamy that I've never submitted anywhere else. I added those just as RM, I was confused a bit as to what license to apply. But is it better to have the exclusive content licensed as "RM exclusive" at Alamy?

Sorry for a stupid question, just thinking whether it makes sense to resubmit those photos in order to have them RM exclusive..

Hi all,

I asked this question the other day in one of the FT threads but to no avail, so I'll try again in this separate thread.

I was checking the Adobe Stock site to see how searchable the photos from my FT portfolio are there, and I found out that the most essential keywords representing the geographic locations are simply missing from most of my photos when searched through Adobe.

The point is that I have only travel photos in my port with a lot of remote locations, specific places, names of volcanoes, lakes etc - they are properly keyworded and easily searchable on FT but completely missing on Adobe.

Anyone noticed having similar issues?

Many thanks!

Many here praised the FT sales in January, is it still going good for you?

For me (a small port of travel photos) that "on fire" thing stopped somewhere in late December.
September to December was a good time, with ups and downs sometimes, but overall I felt that nice tendency of sales going up, good ratio of credit sales too. But for almost 2 months now I keep getting half of downloads per week compared to what I had before.
I also noticed that the new content stopped selling too, older files sell instead (just like it happened with SS in August or so)

How is it for you?

Hi there,

Would like one more piece of advice from you, please.

I haven't shot many night scenes before but I've got a few shots I thought could pass the review. All were rejected by SS for poor lighting.

I'm attaching a couple of them - are those too dark?

I went through SS database for different night scapes before I edited and submitted my images to get an idea and I think I've seen some much more underexposed than mine..

PS all submitted as editorial.

Many thanks!

Hi all,

I've got a small series of shots of one indigenous Creole girl in Nicaragua getting a hairdo. SS rejected all of them for poor composition and that's fine (she's a bit soft too, to be honest) but I still think the photos may present a certain value for location and ethnicity, so my question is: do you think it's better to submit those exclusively to Alamy as RM or just spread it between different agencies (I have it as editorial only)?

Many thanks!

Adobe Stock / Sales nearly stopped at Fotolia
« on: September 23, 2015, 15:38 »
Hi there,

Has anyone noticed a sudden drop in sales starting from last Thursday or so (Sept 17), I thought maybe the end of the week was unusually slow, but nothing changed after the new week started..

The first half of September was real good at sales and then suddenly such a decline.. Or is it just me? :o

Hello,

Just started uploading to Bigstock, had my first submission of 10 photos approved about 10 days ago (got an email saying so), however they never showed up in my portfolio, it is just empty.

If there is anyone from Bigstock team looking at my message - my user name on Bigstock is lana_byko.

Thank you!

Lana
