Adobe Stock / Video Royalties To Drop
« on: March 09, 2022, 11:09 »
The same thing happened to motion graphics templates last month, and my sales were decimated.  Glad I didn't spend more time working on those. :(

"We are writing to let you know about important upcoming price tier updates for all Adobe Stock video clips.

On a rolling basis starting March 9, 2022, HD video clips will be available to license as part of Adobe Stock subscriptions (25 credits per month or larger), providing stock customers a simplified offering that includes standard images, templates, 3D, and audio tracks.

There is no change to the current royalty rate.

While there is no change to the current royalty rate, you may still notice a decrease in the per-video license royalty payments as HD videos will be available to subscription customers at a range of discounts, depending on the customers plan. 4K videos will be available to subscription customers at a 20% discount.

The current Adobe Stock royalty rate (35%) will stay the same, based on the price per clip. And HD and 4K video pricing will remain the same for all on-demand clips and for credit packs. To find details about royalties from subscription plans visit our Royalties page. "

123RF / Data Breach At 123RF
« on: June 07, 2021, 16:33 »
Stocksy admins notified us that 123RF had a data breach today, and that people have been trying to login to Stocksy with those credentials.

"This morning we were made aware that the stock photo site 123RF experienced a security breach in which millions of usernames and passwords were stolen. There have now been malicious attempts to use these stolen credentials to login to Stocksy accounts."

Further, it suggests changing passwords that use that same username and password at other locations.

The DT upload page looks like it has changed, and I'm unable to drag images to the target.  It works ok in Chrome.

Just me?

ETA: Ah, f*ck, the edit image page no longer works with my greasemonkey script.

ETAA: This new interface is going to keep me from uploading there.

General Stock Discussion / EyeEm's "Great News"
« on: May 23, 2019, 10:00 »
"We wanted to let you know that we've received our partner sales reports, and will be processing them and issuing sales notifications later today. We also want to use this opportunity to let you know about a change that you'll see in your sales reports from now on.

Since the start, we made the decision to subsidize any photos that were sold through third-party partners for less than $2. We did this from our belief that your work should be compensated fairly. Starting this month, we will no longer subsidize partner sales (sales of images on partnering photo platforms). This means that some of you will see sales under $1. As our sales through Getty and other partners increase, stopping subsidies is the only sustainable way to continue licensing through third parties.

We continue to see this as an equal partnership and are committed to always pay you 50% of all revenues from your image sales. Our team's main focus has been to improve your opportunities on EyeEm Market, where we are able to control the prices and guarantee fair compensation. Our Market is growing at a very healthy pace, and as it grows, so will your sales.

As always, we are grateful and proud to be working with such a unique creative community. Please don't hesitate to write us if you have any questions or concerns."
