General Stock Discussion / Is there a re-selling photo licence?
« on: August 03, 2019, 11:18 »
Hello everyone.

I'm honest, I don't have the time right now to search on every microstock where I have images, if they have a licence that allows re-selling of images in the form of wallpaper... I mean actual wallpaper to put on walls inside a house.

I stumbled upon my image for sale in a wallpaper art site and in their Facebook page, someone posting a photo of his living-room with my photo on the wall and thanking the company for selling it to him...  >:(

Before I leave them a kind message to take down my image I would ask you if you know if there is any microstock agency with a licence that allows this?...
Thank you in advance.

123RF / What's (not) happening in here?
« on: February 20, 2017, 20:17 »
I used to get payouts every month for years in a row... This year, 2 months have passed and I'm still halfway to payout! It's about 25% of the usual performance!
New images sit there forever to be reviewed... I mean really, is 123RF agonizing before a certain death? Or are there some search algorithm "issues" going on?

Anyone knows them?

iStockPhoto.com / Password reset "due to system changes"
« on: September 30, 2014, 13:04 »
 ???
Just sent this through iStock contact form. Anyone having the same problem?!

"Hello,
I was promped to change my password due to system changes. I clicked the "lost my password" link, received the email and clicked the "Reset your password now" button.
Problem is that my previous 6 character password that I have been using forever and that is recorded in my browser so that I don't have to type it everytime, is not being recognized by the site as my old password. It says:

"Errors were encountered:
The old password you entered does not match your account information.
Please fix all errors to continue."

Needless to say that I find it a little odd the system asking me for my old password, having I pressed the "lost my password" link in the first place...

Please tell me what to do.

Dreamstime.com / Sell the rights request.
« on: January 25, 2011, 10:03 »
Hello all!,
I was asked to sell the rights for a particular image in my DT portfolio and I hit the link in the e-mail I received from DT to enable that possibility. By default, the recommended price is $1000 but I can lower the price. I confess I find it exaggerated, but wouldn't mind at all if the buyer could pay that amount for this image.
Have anyone of you been asked to sell the rights? what would you do? Should I ask for a couple of hundrends or what?! This is the image: http://www.dreamstime.com/3d-background-image4572233

Thanks!

*edit* I have corrected the link for you to be able to see the image

Bigstock.com / What's happening with the uploads?
« on: October 10, 2010, 19:49 »
Almost 3 weeks ago I had some difficulties in uploading by FTP (I use Dreamweaver FTP tools). The thumbnails didn't appear and I thought that the system hadn't yet had the time to assimilate the images. I didn't wait for them to show and blindly edited categories backed up with the photo descriptions. One day later, the thumbnails were still missing.

Surprisingly, the images got accepted but all I was seeing in my port was blank squares saying "image not available".

Searching for the images, they did not appear is search results. Then, I wrote to support and they replied that they were having some server issues and that my thumbnails would soon be visible, which they did some days later. The problem is that by then, my images were already buried under hundreds of new ones, with very small chances to be found in searches again...

Last week I uploaded a new batch, this time avoiding FTP. I've chosen the HTML forms, and, guess what,... no thumbnails again, only "image not available"... I'm going to delete them.
I have just tried to upload one image a few minutes ago. The problem remains.

What I'm finding very strange is that I don't see anyone else complaining about this. Not here, not in BS forums.

Maybe I should contact support again, but as they have confirmed me the first time that they were having server problems, I'm waiting for them fix them!...
But isn't 3 weeks a little too long? And why don't they announce something about this?!

Or is this just happening to me? what's your experience?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

StockXpert.com / Overall, is it worth it on Photos.com?
« on: November 07, 2008, 16:10 »
Hello all!
This is my first post, although I have been reading the forums quite often.

I'm not on Photos.com arranjement with StockXpert since it started, mainly because buyers can get a regular download and use the files in a way that somewhere else they had to buy an EL.
Putting aside the latest revenue and payments confusion, from your experience, do you think it is worth it to be in Photos.com? Did you notice a increase in revenue and did it affect your sales, EL's in particular, in any other site?
I'm trying to make a decision and I would like your feedback on the matter.

Thanks in advance,
CC
