Just wish I could see some sale here. Haven't had a sale in over a year with over 400 images on line.
Ditto. What's going on?

I stand corrected! You are absolutely right. Auto correct drives me nuts. Thanks Cathy.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. It's going to be a challenge I know. I certainly don't want to disturb the natural balance. I've seen shot using a red flashlight and corrected balance afterwards and was pretty impressed. Thanks again all.

photography is light reflected. No light no photography. Plus the turtles move during their egg-laying activities.
Correct! Hoping for a little help from the moon. Half moon rising from the east is what I'll have on the dates I'm there. I'm going to have to be creative I'm sure. I'll post a shot or two if I'm successful.

East coast of Florida. Just south of Melbourne, Indian river lagoon beach.

No, but it sounds interesting!

Unless you have a super sensitive moonlight camera (or maybe a Sony a7s II), most night nature photography utilize artificial light.
I agree. I'm using a Nikon D750 which has one of the best low light AF systems of all Nikon products. That's why I was hoping for a full mean during May. I've had excellent results so far.

Has anyone had any luck or experience shooting lagerhead Turtles during laying season at night? No lights of any kind are allowed during the laying season. Hoping for a well lit moon in May. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Franky. That helped me. Now how do I see the keywords for the files?
Could you explain a little more? Where do you want to see the keywords? Do you mean see the keywords on the ESP site when you do a revision?

Thanks
Yes. Just getting used to their setup. I was concerned that the file data wasn't attached and now I see that it is. All is good. Thanks for your quick response.

Microstock News / Re: Is it worth uploading editorial photos
« on: April 19, 2017, 09:12 »
I guess it's on the stock sites to control this. Not much we can do about it.
I have kept and copied over all my HDD the email I got from iS assuring me that any liability was totally on the buyer.
Thanks Sue. I Agree.

Microstock News / Re: Is it worth uploading editorial photos

I have a handful of editorials, and it really depends on the photo. I second the message about time sensitive photos not having a lot of long term value, although that's just a gut feeling, as I haven't done a lot in the way of that. The editorial photos I have up are of buildings/locations where it would be impossible to remove all the logos or where doing so would end up removing the subject of the image (copyrighted building design, sigh). I'd rather have them as commercial, since they would have more value, but that's obviously not going to happen, and they do sell.

When in doubt, err on the side of submitting.
I started uploading editorials for awhile now with fair success. Funny, one is a shot of pool deck on a popular cruise line and it has loads of people and property. D/L many times.

Same here. Works great. No fees to transfer money from one to the other.

Is it advisable to keep it open and running to update or are refreshes necessary? Seems a bit heavy on processor to keep running. Just asking.

Sales this month have been awful! No SOD's and only 5 OD's. Worried I won't make a payout for the first time in more than 5 years. May have to lower my payout threshold. I did notice that last Friday was a banner day however. I just wish they'd stop screwing with the SOE so much!

PhotoDune / Well how about that!

I wish all of you good luck with Photodune going forward. Really? I'm part of their "clean-up Process".
Insert happy face here!

Give this a try, I think you may be as surprised as I was.  Have Fun!

Try searching your name or MS account name in the Google Books sub-catagory. I have found many books using my images over the past few years and am amazed how many books show up from educational to entertainment. Some of mine include love novel covers, science, mathematics, nature etc. The one that surprised me was National Geographic's "Backyard Guide To The Night Skies" using a lightning shot I took years ago.

DepositPhotos / DP unfinished submission error
« on: September 10, 2016, 18:19 »
Any one else getting this error when trying to "finish" submission on Depositphotos?

I've contact their support three time and they tell me to change browsers, clear my cache and other possibles and it still shows up. I've tried it all. Strange, anyone else?

Shutterstock.com / Re: Map is broken?
« on: August 30, 2016, 19:44 »
Say what you want...it's called "checks and balances". If the map is reporting sales and the summary isn't then there is a problem somewhere. I've got image sales indicated on the map and not the summary and that my friends is an issue....checks and balances! I'm sure it will be fixed in due time....they always do.

The map was never meant to be a check and balance...it was meant as a general idea of sales and a fun widget. You guys are the ones who are claiming that the map should be correct and match exactly with your sales summary. As far as I know, Shutterstock has never said that. Show me on the site where they claim that the map matches exactly, and I will shut my piehole. :-)

Geez Cathy can't we have a conversation here without saber rattling. I thought that's what this site was for...conversation. Sorry....I'm out...

Saber rattling? LOL. As if no one else here ever does that!

I am out too. Of this topic, that is.  :D

Thanks Cathy...all is good! :)
