Any plans to include other content beyond photos?

Current customers who already know and use AdobeStock now have a free option. I find it very hard to believe that the loss of sales for us will be compensated by increased customers who currently use free sites and magically see the light of paying for content. Perhaps more likely will be new customers from other microstock sites where we will lose sales I wonder if this is this really about competition between microstock sites where anything we may (or may not) gain is lost elsewhere.

I've received a mail, probably fake

I'm sure it's fake.  The poor English of their message is another red flag.  "Your information will be zero" is not something any native speaker of English would write.

I agree, definitely fake.

In my case, it took 3 weeks for my account to be unsuspended and my images put back online. No money was lost (except for what I might have earned in those 3 weeks).

Also happened to me on BS. It's been over a week since I sent them a photo of me and my passport...still waiting to hear back. Slightly annoying that apparently my images are not available for sale while this is going on...not a lot of money lost but probably would have bought a couple of coffees.

« on: February 28, 2017, 20:30 »
Yesterday I finally got a reply from a real person who solved the problem in an instant by including a new link for me to click which accepted the original invitation that I had never received.

Then today I got another message from them which confuses things slightly in having another link for me to accept the invitation (I am ignoring it). This message also includes the words "Due to an error on our part you did not receive this invitation, please accept our apologies for this delay..." It always grated with me that they didn't seem to be accepting that it was their F-up.

Hang in there, Madman, they'll get to you soon...

At least I can now keep an eye on them as I let this company fade out of my life.

Yes, that was the email address I used. Takes a couple of days for a response at first and that was a standard email, but once you get talking to a real person it is a bit quicker.  Good luck!
Thanks.
If only they were as helpful as the people here...

My direct email to them worked. I got the stock email about resetting my password, but when I replied to that saying that I hadn't had an invite, it appears my account was reset in the background and it all works now.

Steve
Congratulations!
Was it [email protected] that you used? That's what I've been trying with no success.

Could be you had a video invite in 2014?

I dont remember such a thing, whatever it is, the real problem is why they don't reply to messages to solve the problem for 3 weeks?

I'm still in the same boat - with no access to ESP and no replies from them. I also never uploaded any video to them so didn't get a video invite back in 2014.

Now that reporting of sales has started (apparently badly) I imagine the support staff are swamped with queries from everybody and their mother so don't anticipate my 'little' problem getting sorted out anytime soon.

Did this get solved for anyone on this thread. Nothing at all for me - I still get the error message that ESP is not set up when I try to log on, still no email with my unique link, still no contact from Getty/iStock

Steve
No, although I almost got in yesterday. After receiving an unhelpful generic reply from them I reset my password again and at first it seemed to work with my full name showing in the top right corner but as soon as I clicked anything ("continue to ESP" I think it said) I got the "not currently set up for ESP access" message. And that's all I have gotten since.

...
Personally the whole site looks a shambles
I wish I could see what you are talking about! There are some of us still unable to access ESP with absolutely no idea what's going on and zero indication if that will ever change.

Add me to the list: no e-mail received -> reset password -> "account not set-up in ESP" -> no answer to my e-mail.
Been there since 2006.

« on: January 23, 2017, 21:09 »
That's been happening to me for the last couple of weeks. At first I edited the space back in but that having to do that was so annoying that I stopped bothering and left the keywords with just a comma between them. I just checked and it seems that the keywords are treated separately this way once accepted so (in my experience) you don't need to re-space.

Canva / Re: OK, I give up....
« on: June 20, 2016, 20:11 »
I always keep the sales page open but it looks like it isn't showing up on the profile page any more - weird.  I can still get there through https://www.canva.com/sales as it has kept me logged in.  Maybe they are having site issues - could be why it seems to be slow there today.  I hope the buyer side is up and sales will just get reported late.

Thanks, that helped. Logging in and then manually adding "/sales" to the address worked for me.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Dreamstime is on a roll
« on: October 22, 2015, 20:49 »
Their rejection says your files will compete with each other, but I've found the opposite to be true. One buyer will license a bunch of what Dreamstime considers my "similar" images on SS, resulting in multiple sales for me instead of one.

...
And even if they did compete with each other why would that matter? Still at least the same number of sales for you.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Microstock: where more is less
« on: January 31, 2014, 05:41 »
I think part of the long-term answer is to be more selective where you send your images. The more the agencies have to compete for our work (as well as for buyers) then the better for us.

Adobe Stock / Re: Increase in vector pricing
« on: January 29, 2014, 21:28 »
I stopped uploading to Fotolia when they started selling my vector files for less than a Standard M jpeg. This recent change is in the right direction, of course, but nowhere near enough to make me start uploading there again.

I asked them.
They replied: "Please do not worry. Our contributors will always receive the regular subscription royalty rate for free trials."
Just a bit annoying that I had to ask.

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia - Unsold contents (ANNOUNCEMENT)
« on: July 25, 2013, 05:05 »
Apparently, my 4th best seller with over 500 downloads hasnt had one for 6 months (its an old file) soI have deleted it and started deleting the other reduced files.

Or maybe I should close my account totally. A few months ago they started selling my vectors for less than an M size jpeg so I already stopped uploading vectors to Fotolia.

As long as so many of us spread our work across the board then the competition between microstock sites is just for customers, driving prices lower and lower. If we were more selective where we submitted then the sites would have to compete for both customers AND contributors.
