How do you do it?  I don't use Mac I use PC, and Lightroom 3, and filezilla for batch uploads for other agencies.... I have been trying to figure out how you batch upload to web and then transfer across to the microstock sites, does flickr do this?   Thanks in advance if you have any ideas

Download Deep Meta from their site.  You can take your time prepping images that way, but very likely that you will get the same inspector for your batch.

Ohh dont know if I really want the same inspector, I am sure there is only one there who likes my images..... been hunting for deep meta on Istock, not actually finding it? Probably looking in wrong place though

:) Often that seems to happen, usually with the comment  over-filtered/over-processed , (I think this relates to me tweaking white balance and brightness)  anyway I never bother resubmitting  - should I or should I not?  Does anyone resubmit?

:-\ ummm I am confused, what will happen 3rd of May for Yuri Arcurs???? getting married, gettina a puppy, getting a TV show, start a new microstock agency?    Anyway I think his success is awesome and I could only aspire to become as talented as he is as a photographer and as a business person.

Thanks for your responses I will look into Firefox versus IE  and FF colour profiles

8
Have checked colour profile sRGB IEC61966-2-1   going to look into the suffix info - that might be the issue

I google image and camera my wedding cake - found 183 results website finds (some were re stock agencies but lots weren't) so I screen shot first 3 pages of google results... funny to see where it is being used

10
Firefox, I deleted IE I will check it on another computer around here, hmmmm no it is not more contrast they look more muddy in colour than contrast and sharpening boosted.  Thanks  will keep investigating

11
Yes  I process raw files through Lightroom 3 - expost them out as .jpeg sRGBs into picasa to keyword (don't ask me why - I know I could do that in Lightroom)   I am now checking if Picassa stuffs around with the profile

Hi there,

I have been trying to figure out why when I load to web my images always seem darker and less vibrant as they do on my screen, and yes I do keep my screen calibrated - I am puzzled, any one know?  Thanks in advance

Gear bags are a pain, I have 2 I use most one set up for weddings with extra stuff, safety pins, celebrity tape, mini hairspray and I jam my circle reflector in it when I take camera out - its a Crumpler, but it is black and sometimes if bag gets left in sun it gets so hot my celebrity tape melts....... wish they did big ones in a pale colour , anyway I have attached jewellery to it as my statement for being feminie.  my stock bag is a sling over lowepro - which is smaller and everday it comes with me also as my hand bag - but I still haven't balanced everything in it and it occasionaly slips sort of, again that has a scarf often attached to it.   Maybe we should design camera bags for women - theres a thought.  oh and a bboring box shape cheapy for my back up camera for weddings which resides in boot of car.

really great thanks

I always liked :)

an amatuer worries about gear
a professional worries about composition
a master worries about light

I love that I will remember that - I am always watching light - I must be a master..... lol

I like DT so far they have been fairly consistent for me, $1 a day on average, however SS is all of a sudden doing better for me, since Decemeber, so I shall see.

I use Nikon - but you will have to jump the ditch to borrow my gear lol

True  we are paid so little, but I dont know how that can be changed - for me it is a numbers game, and I have to admit I only have one image that has proved its worth and it has been hijacked as well

Having years ago used photobank in UK for my transparencies, I embarked on microstock a couple of years back, as I have family, farm and part time work, I am only a sporadic uploader of stock - have heaps of ideas and no time.

But microstock has really taught me to up my game in technique and to present clean images.  to the point - I have had some down time lately and went looking at some of the newer images on the sites I sell through and WOW the quality out there is so amazing (obviously I need to up my game more!)  and so inspiring - so other microstockers out there I am in awe of your talent!

StockFresh / Re: StockFresh - Is the opportunity passing?
« on: February 05, 2012, 00:54 »
A year ago I applied for acceptance - and 2 months went by heard nothing, emailed them - nothing - I watched their site but all they obviously wanted was microstock portfolios of high sellers from other agencies... so to be honest I thought why bother and withdrew and closed account.   They have alienated people by not fulfilling their promises so nope the graphics people and advertisers I work with I do not mention them in my reccomendations.  Sad really big start and no follow through.
