When I sort my portfolio by best match, the first image is an older one that has 35,000 + views and 165 downloads. So i can't quite figure out this best match at all. by you reasoning I would think that file should be buried. SO the mystery of the algorithm remains

If they only paid with Vodka, now that might be worth considering

I had an issue once with them. Rather than going through the long process of emails and support tickets, I called them on the phone and resolved the problem in 3 minutes. I don't know if this is feasible from your location, but it worked for me. Sorry you are having trouble with them.

First off, I'd like to say to Orson that I am not jumping on you. If this is a mistake on SS's part, then I hope the matter is resolved quickly. with appropriate apologies etc. However, theft of images in general is one of the lowest forms of fraud. A lapse in judgment is NO excuse for this kind of crap. Ethics are ethics.

I hope the sub sales give a boost at IS. My sales there have been pretty dismal all year. I'm WAAAY down in the dl column from the same time last year. The money is not great either even with more UL's , I'm kind of confused by all of this, I assume that the influx of new contributers has made sales more difficult. Still IS is by far my biggest earner every month so I shall persevere.

Thanks for all of your responses. I think I in fact did check the email options, but I feel like these people probably aren't really great with the emails etc. That's fine I just didn't know what to expect from them

Do these people contact you about whether or not images are accepted/declined?I submitted 50 images, and I think 44 were accepted but I haven't received any communication from these folks and was just wondering if this is normal?

how can you recognize some product by serial number? please.....
If you type any serial number into Google it will return results. For exapmple I typed the file number for the clothes line money shot into google and the photo turned up on thethe fourth page of results. So i guess they are afraid that some one will be able to id the manufacturer

Could it be Old credits still hanging around out there? That has happened to me over the last couple of years, I assume it is a correct amount and agree that it is not worth bothering support with.

Good point! However, there is usually some kind of discussion or agreement put in place before the co-op sale is put in place. I know it's not realistic for Istock to negotiate with it's members, but a bit of warning about their intentions via site mail might have been appropriate.

somehow, I suddenly feel like a supplier to Walmart. Sure there are lots of sales, but the margin is so tight (20%) that it makes one wonder. And then to "make " me put my work on sale is just a sort of slap in the face. WOO YAH!

It was me. My 3 year old daughter reset the date on the comoputer one month ahead and I guess that sent the server at IS into a tizzy. Oops.

Adelaide, I too, wondered if the el's on Istock counted as downloads. Apparently not, as I have one file with an EL from last year, that still shows zero DL's. I find that kind of strange, but I couldn't get any kind of answer from support, so I just assume they don't count as downloads. Regards, John

Started with Istock in November 2005. Added a few other sites since then. I agree that the sense of community is great.
