They just love these thieves, it brings them even more revenue. Why would they care?

Hi,

I found this contributor is selling my vectors: https://depositphotos.com/portfolio-1574000.html?content=vector
He is also on other sites like 123rf, dreamstime etc.
You should take a look, maybe your work is also there.

Software / Re: How good are the EPS files created in Inkscape
« on: September 27, 2022, 10:59 »
Don't use gradients. Or at least that's the way it was for me in the past. They just didn't translate well when EPS files are opened in illustrator.

Yes, sure. I don't use gradients or transparency in the designs I save as EPS in Inkscape.

Thank you!

I would also convert strokes (if you have any) to path.

Those who have deleted all their images: Have you done some kind of exhaustive search to verify that your images do not appear in the results? The truth is that, lately, I don't trust any agency

I can still see my profile, and it says "oops, nothing to see here". Other than that, I did not check, partner sites (I don't know which are 123rf partners) probably will delete later. That's how it happened when I deleted from other sites.
You can also save some of your image ID's and search them after deleting.

My deleted images finally started disappearing from their site, it seems it takes a few days.

Same. The previews are still there but if I click on any of my images it says not available. Yay, finally!

I wrote to their FB page and I also posted this thread.
They contacted me via e-mail shortly after saying they are moving my content manually (LOL) from the plus collection. I told them to just delete all, but I don't have any hope it will happen any time soon.  :-[

My deleted images are also available for sale even though I deleted them a few days ago. No reply to my mail too.
Any other ideas?

Maybe we can try and comment on their social media pages to let the buyers know how they treat contributors. I don't see a better option, since they don't reply to messages and manually deleting (or changing the settings) does not work.

« on: September 19, 2022, 08:25 »
I only had 40 or so images to delete so was quick and easy.

But for those of you with big portfolios doing this or closing accounts, a big commendation to you for your efforts.

This is the type of contributor backlash that will greatly undermine or sink such agencies treating their suppliers in this hideous manner and serve as an example to other agencies.

I also started deleting my images, but they are still online. Were yours deleted? If yes, how long did it take for the changes to show?

Thanks!

Same here though I have been receiving monthly payments from canva for many years. I hope they work it out soon.

NM.

Dashboard > Account Settings > "Your commission model is Alamy XX"

Until the reset, then check again.

What does this "comission model" mean? It's the first time I check it.

Have you tried submitting a DMCA notice to [email protected]? That usually works.

DepositPhotos / Re: Yayimages contributor on Depositphotos

I can confirm, they don't help with deleting the images from various sites (depositphotos, agefotostock, alamy and possibly others), they also don't pay you.  >:(

They have this in their contributor terms: "YAY does not take responsibility if an image has been marked for deletion, and is still available for sales either on yaymicro.com or any partner site. It is the contributors responsibility to make sure the image has in fact been removed."

Dear Jim,

Carstickers is an API partner.  When someone purchases a sticker from them, you will get a royalty.

Kind Regards,
Lynne
IP Team, Shutterstock

Wow. So they now admit carstickers being a partner. And I had to wait like half a year for them to tell me they are not partners. Just when I was thinking SS can not be shittier than this. I am pretty mad now - apparently they just lied to me, so they could keep the royalties. I wonder how anyone still trusts this crappy company.

How many downloads did you get that you aren't paid for?

There is no way to check, so I don't know. My works were there for more than half a year after I disabled sales on Shutterstock.

"We would also like to inform you that www.carstickers.com is not an affiliates/partners of Shutterstock."

If that's true, I'm surprised that Shutterstock seems to have no problem with them openly using the company name to sell stickers.

That is what they have told me. If you PM me your e-mail, I can forward you the whole conversation with SS. Now I read it again, and at one point carstickers replied that they are partners with shutterstock, but shutterstock thinks/says they are not.

CanStockPhoto.com / Re: Payment history
« on: March 25, 2021, 14:22 »
Is there a way to see payment history on CS please?

I am sorry, probably too late, but the answer is yes, under My Account you go to My Reports and then you can change the dropdown menu to Payment History and you can generate a report.

18
I also found some of my work on this website in September last year. I contacted shutterstock (I disabled my portfolio in may 2020) and after many pointless e-mails finally at the end of January 2021 I got the reply from shutterstock, saying carstickers is not their partner site:

"We would also like to inform you that www.carstickers.com is not an affiliates/partners of Shutterstock."

In the meantime I tried contacting carstickers website, with no reply at all, so I filed a DMCA notice to their host company ([email protected]). That worked, and they took it down in a week or so. I advice you try the same (fill out the takedown notice and send it to amazon).

I got my payment last month, and I haven't reached the minimum amount yet this month. I hope it's just a temporary issue.

Hi guys and girls,

I would like to get in touch with this contributor. Any chance you are here or anyone knows of a web/instagram?

There is a contributor Cesare Bonetta on Getty, but you got to be more specific if you want help. Might be this one. https://cesarebonetta.jimdofree.com/

Canva / Re: Canva ftp upload down for anyone else?
« on: March 10, 2021, 12:51 »
And there's something else: I just noticed I didn't have any direct (non subscription) sales since Sunday. Normally I get at least a couple each day. Three days in a row seems a bit odd.

Same-ish. No sale since friday  :(

Later edit: Looks like complaining helps, I just had a sale.

I have just tried and I can not connect
"Error:   Authentication failed.
Error:   Critical error: Could not connect to server"
Do you get the same message or you are able to connect but the upload is not working? (I had that too a couple of weeks ago)

Canva / Re: How to delete an image
« on: March 05, 2021, 08:40 »
Anyone else noticed that, when you go to https://www.canva.com/contributors/upload and then to approved and scroll down through port, there are duplicates or even triplicates of the same image? For example, when I scrolled down I found thumbnail for the same image in 3 different locations, when I right-click that image and then open in new tab image has exactly the same filme name?

And I'm pretty sure, I didn't upload the same image 3 times, and even if I would, filenames would be different?

Is there any other link to check your port?

Anyone else showing blank pages under this link (https://www.canva.com/contributors/upload) for approved, even though portfolio appears correctly under this link: https://www.canva.com/portfolio ?

Yes, me too. I never understood their contributor platform, it's very hard to navigate, so I rarely go there. I just upload via ftp and forget about them :))

Anyone else having issues with the GL site not loading?

I'm just getting a blank page

I'd guess it's totally abandoned. I asked them more than a month ago to delete my port, no reply ever since.

I had several of these, but as I never really wanted to sell, I always put the highest price (5000). You only need to remove the image from other sites if the buyer buys the rights.
Other than that, you should put a price that suits you, if it's not an image that sells, you can put less, but I would not go under 500 (you only get part of that anyways).
