I'm already in, just uploaded my first 5000 photos, the sign up and submission process was very easy, so why not. By the way, you could use it as a backup of your portfolio, if something happens you always can buy a subscription and download your entire portfolio back. Hope to get into your premium WeLearnedFromTheBest.com collection one day!

Microstock Services / Re: Is Stocksubmitter safe?
« on: August 24, 2018, 04:55 »

Update was not successful because Avast interrupted it. You should restart the software for it to update without errors.
Sounds like those updates may have been potentially harmful.
For Antivirus software any program connecting to internet is potentially harmful. SS is not the most popular software obviously because of its niche nature so avast doesn't have enough data about it from theis users. It just the way antiviruses work. Depending on your settings it could prevent your computer from working as it supposed to.
And StockSubmitter updates constantly, could be twice a day or more to provide advertised features for supported agencies which change something every now and then, and also adding new features. But you don't have to update every time, just cross your fingers and hope that this time it was not the stock agency you uploading to changed something on their website:)

I started another update but I'm getting another one of those weird messages
Its Avast is still blocking it. I would add an exception to its settings or temporarily turn it off, start the program and then back turn on avast. That's the reason I don't use avast or AVG any more. At least 3 of my daily used software was blocked from time to time even after I added them to exceptions.

I use Stocksubmitter on a regular basis since 2012 or so. Had issues with Avast and AVG as well. As I know they are the same company now anyway. AVG even analyses it (on their servers?) and after a while shows the message that all is fine. And after a couple of days it blocks StockSubmitter on startup again. Had to delete this stupid antivirus.

And it looked like the updates weren't successful anyway.

The software have all the sales data for each contributor. So, I think that they can do a percent subscription for each user. Like, let say, about 1 to 5 % from the total revenue. So, if user earn 100 $/month, next month he/she must pay around 1 to 5 $...
Just an idea....
 8)
So if I make say 10k$ a month, then I should pay 100 to 500$ a month? No, thanks ;)
In my opinion contributors who make less than 500$ (or actually even less than 1k) don't really need this app. They can just use Microstockr mobile app or free StockSubmitter to check daily sales.
And also there is no need to subcribe (to this or competitive apps) for anyone, you can use it for like 1-2 month a year to analize your portfolio and sales and to get bigger picture.

Even a product like Affinity Photo....
3d max is 185 a month, Premier Pro is 20 a month or 50 for the all-in pack should I continue? do you know audio software prices? - Huge! And I use/used many different apps for my microstock production. But does it make any sense to compare all those products? You are saying that this mango is pricy and potato is cheaper and indispensable for most of us.

Don't understand why people keep comparing the price of this niche app and the price of Adobe PS+LR subscription (with huge user base), but not with competitive niche products like StockPerformer and MicrostockAnalytics.

Maybe because PS+LR are almost indispensable for most of us, when Microstockr is not?

Again. It is niche product only for microstock contributors. Do you use StockSubmitter? Or StockPerformer ( 29/month) and MicrostockAnalytics ($39.99/3 months)? You either need those products or not. Not defending anything, and agree that beta users could get better discounts. But we should compare comparable products.
And I would like the discussion heading the direction of price/features comparison with direct competition (may be in the new dedicated topic) not any software in the world.

Their image counters add EXACTLY 40 images per hour in EVERY category: photos, vectors, editorial and video. ;D

Grumble, it looks like it worked. I see higher prices. Anyone else see a change?
No. No change for me. It is still 10$ for 10 images a month and 99$ for yearly plan. And in your case you see 30$ for 30 images and 300$ for 30 images monthly. So it is actually the same cheap plan but with more images in it. Same 1$ for 1 image.

Compare to died DPC (the only one screenshot that I've found, red frame is irrelevant now).

10
DepositPhotos promoting "New Flexible Plan". May be that is not news. But I've just noticed. Monthly plan 10$ for 10 images and you can buy additional images for 1$ and unused downloads transfer month to month >:(
Sound familiar?
For some countries it is 10$ for 10 images and for some - 29$ for 30 images.

UPD.: here is Depositphotos Boycott going on - onlineboycott.net - English, French and Russian versions are avaliable.

Bigstock.com / Re: Anyone tried Bridge to Bigstock?
« on: April 06, 2016, 02:12 »
Lots of people tried this program. But as far as I know it is closed now, actually in 2014 it was already closed and may be a bit earlier.
But you should ask directly if you are interested.

No payment here. About 67$.
More than a week ago got mail, that they can't send to my payoneer asking where to send. Answered with my paypal, and changed account settings to paypal. No answer and no money since then.

13
The question is how much will we get. Last time it was clear: 50% of 9,99$ = 4,99 buyer pays=3.30 we get. Now it seems like for the free month for new customers we get 1.65$, but it can be 0,99 (?) if buyer will sign up for one year of Adobestock https://stock.adobe.com/promo/firstmonthfree. And I have no idea how much should we get for 120 free images offered for MAX attendees.

14
I also got this email. It's good to see that Adobe keeps updating contributors, unlike SS.
By SS you mean SymbioStock?

I never get these...I don't think people looking for images for Facebook ads are looking for vectors, really.
Vectors and rasters don't participate in FB deal.

I feel like I have the weakest portfolio ... I know is not the best, but only ONE SOD ????
Looks like you have food port. I've noticed that none of my 72 sods yesterday were food photos, and I have many of them.

D-day has begun in some parts of the world.
I think it's time to sum things up (Current forum time: April 30, 2014, 15:48).
According to the boycottfotolia.org 87900 images and 67 portfolios have already been deleted.
And according to the posts from microstock.ru (April,25) there was a number of 28,360,932 Royalty Free Stock Photos on the main page and now it shows 28,213,920, so it is minus 147,012 files difference! Add here all those uploads from the contributors who continued uploading. I think that only thanks to all that people Fotolia started some actions and communication. They made some changes to the DPC license and finally introduced opt out option. The problem is that by default everyone still opted-in and they didn't notify contributors about DPC. According to the forums those "You probably heard that we have launched Dollar Photo Club" messages got only the ones who somehow showed their awareness about DPC (by deleting files, support messages, clicking opt out button and even active forums discussions (if forum name is equal to fotolia's display name)). And of course they didn't remove cheap $10 Membership plan. Some contributors already tried and got approved to DPC within an hour - proof http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img835/2648/tsxi.png
It is a little bit sad to see some passiveness on English speaking forums about the issue. In comparison only on one of the three main independent Russian speaking microstock forums I've counted 4500+ messages about the DPC since April, 24 till now. It also sad to see people happy about opt out, pulling out your own port from DPC doesn't make the future of industry healthier having in mind that still only small group of contributors aware ot the situation. FT made this only after our petition and only to calm us down. Who knows what they will do some time later.
Thanks to all who signed petition, and helped to spread the world! I think that we should continue to inform contributors about DPC since FT failed to do so.
For now I would like to give you some D-Day tips to make things faster ;D
1) Open My Files page in your account and set show 100 files per page,
2) hold Ctrl and click all 100 deletes with your left mouse button near your files (100 new tabs will open in background),
3) move from page to page with Ctrl+Tab, and click on "delete this file" confirmation button, don't waite page loading - go on,
4) After that hold Ctrl+F4 or Ctrl+W to close all those browser tabs.
5) repeat N1 and have fun! :)
Don't forget that you can use StockSubmitter to do the job (look at the first message in this thread) and now you can choose not to delete videos and option to start with top downloaded, least downloaded, newest or oldest files.
I think everyone (and fotorob ;)) can afford to delete some files to support D-Day and microstock community!
Happy D-Day!

You can be sure that I very closely monitor my numbers regarding FT and DPC and other agencies.

However, pulling my images from Fotolia would not make much sense for me, because then I would loose several thousand dollar a month.
So, you are not going to opt-out from DPC either, right?

@fotoramka: Who are you?
And who is the "we" you are mentioning in your posts?
I'm boycottfotolia.org developer.
It's translated text of my open letter to microstockers which was published on Rissian-speaking forums.
What do you mean about "we"?
I mean who is (you) the person that develops the boycott-site.
I am still trying to understand your motivation and who the friends are you mentioned.
Let me explain to avoid any conspiracy theories.
fotoramka is a developer of free online tool for contributors idlast.info (currently only in Russian and Ukranian languages) which was launched in October, 2013. He was asked to make this free tool by our fellow contributor. Since then he has not only supported the idlast but actively communicated with microstock community in idlast.info chat and microstock forums.
And he has kindly agreed to help us (Russian speaking contributors) to make the petition site. So he is not contributor himself but understands our concerns and needs as contributors. Hope now it's clear enough.

Did anyone who watched from the sidelines (meaning didn't delete images, didn't write to FT support and didn't know/didn't touch the opt-out button) received "You probably heard that we have launched Dollar Photo Club" message from FT?
