I don't get it. Have constant sales at MP, even with my small portfolio. However, I have many Scandinavian motifs there. Would be happy if other European agencies could achieve such a good performance!

It works for me.
But their rejections are very weird and the sales very low.
Always been a slow seller for me but yes rejections very odd lately....had a rejection for no nude model release......photo of a building........ :o

Makes sense to me. If a building is large enough there is always at least one nude person inside.

LOL, you're right, actually!  ;D ;D ;D

Canstock is unattainable at the moment. Down for maintenance?

Never follow a link in an email. If it's at all possible that it's really from SS, go to the known site. NEVER follow a link in an email, not for banks, CCs, agencies or anyone. Also if you believe them, going to  the Shutterstock site and changing your password, harms nothing.

Looks like it's not SS at all

Got a mail from Shutterstock. Shutterstock prompts me to reset the password? Could it be a phishing mail?

From what email address has been sent the email?
Did you see all headers?

No, I can't. I am led to this link. What do you all mean? I think, it's suspicious! And I have NOT forgotten my password!  https://behindtheshutter.com/my-account/lost-password/

Just a heads up folks- a good portion of Europeans will be taking off the entire month of August for their yearly vacation thus expect even lower sales soon.  Looking forward to September when they return back to work...
Wrong, the Europeans start their vacation at different times, starting in the middle of June and ending during the first days of september. Even the federal states of Germany have school holidays at different times. So you should have lower sales already now - do you?

One click more to see the revenues :( Wish I would get paid for the clicks! 8)

We still accept outside releases as long as all the necessary information is covered. 3 things that are required in addition to the legal language are the (legibly) printed name and signature of the model, the photographer and a witness.

The photographer name must match the name on your account (not an agency name for example). If the model is a minor then the printed name of the model is required in addition to the printed name and signature of the a parent or guardian.

The date of the witness signature must match the date of the model signature (they need to actually witness the signing).

Those are the most common issues I've seen with releases. If you still can't figure out what the problem is, send me an email and I'll be happy to take a look.

-Mat

Thank you Mat. First I will check the rejected releases and if I can't find one of the reasons you describe here, I will send you an email.

It seems to me that Fotolia/Adobe Stock does not accept Universal MR anymore! How are your experiences?

I successfully ignored my cam for two weeks.

What are the chances of mobile phone photos being sold on SS?
Wrong question. The question should be: What are the chances that mobile phone photos will be accepted? And the answer is: There is almost no chance!

Hi, I'm suddenly having photos refused by Shutterstock for: "excessive noise, film grain"
The same images have been accepted everywhere else. ...
I can not count how many times I have read this here.

DepositPhotos / Re: My depositPhotos account was hacked!

I would advise everyone to check their accounts and watch out for this on DP.  They need to put in an automatic notification if the e-mail address is changed - that is a weakness being exploited by hackers.  If anyone has suggestions for what else to do please let me know - and please don't bother with the "why are you still on DP?" responses.  Thanks.
Thank your for sharing this important advise!

The last two month were unusually bad for me. Seems to me, I'm note alone!

Another building photos rejected for poor light when they were taken at 12:00 in a sunny day I dont understand anything

That may be the reason!  8)

« on: September 25, 2016, 19:01 »
I use a Getty release that's dated December, 2008 with Shutterstock and my other agencies.  Started using it in mid-2010 and continue to use it without any issues.  All the problems I've encountered were about incomplete or incorrectly entered information, not the content on the form itself.
The same here. I use a model release, that Yuri Arcurs has published some years ago. Last upload to Shutterstock was some days ago without any problems. The mr was accepted as always.

This discussion is as old as Shutterstock. It's just boring. Two weeks later, everything has changed again.

Versuchs mal mit der kleinen aber netten Agentur Phopress in Sachsen, die suchen hufig typisch deutsche Motive. Und sie verkaufen sogar hin und wieder was! ;-)

The dice was cast for me some month ago. But my account is still open and I can't wait, that it will cancelled finally. Hope they pay me my revenues. I see the risk that I have to send money to them afterwards.

To all Panthermedia-contributors: PM pulls a portion of the revenue back. Apparently there were problems with a sale partner. Check your sales summary for 2015 and 2016!  :-\
