General Stock Discussion / Re: Made 7 sales on 500px
« on: February 01, 2022, 02:35 »
There were good sales there a few years ago, much better than the micros and Alamy but after some recent 1c and 5c sales I decided no and and deleted all but 2 of my images (not on sale). Just kept the account open so I don't lose all my favourites.

Last sale - $0.01, deleting the lot tomorrow. I guess they will keep the balance even though they've had their slice!

Lower and lower rates because we do nothing about it, people still contribute regardless so the agencies do whatever they want.

despite actual evidence posted here that RPD haven't declined!!  where your evidence (rather than continuous whinging & blaming the agencies for everything)

In the last 12 months 80% down in earnings and RPD down, continuous whinging about the same.

Hi Matt,

I clicked a few nominate sliders but there doesn't seem to be an accept or next button. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Yes, you need to click to agree to the contributor addendum that should have popped up immediately when you nominated your first photo. You only need to do that one time.

Thanks Matt. So I guess the nominated images have been sent? I'm not sure as the full list of my nominated images are still showing the selected blue sliders.

Apart from terrible sales even just changing the colour of the lines would help! What a mess.

Made more on 123 than SS this month, didn't think I'd ever say that. SS is dead to me.

Almost had a heart attack yesterday when 16 sales emails came through from 500px. False alarm though as they were all Getty scraps at 4c - 14c! Almost a full dollar for 16 sales. I clicked on one of my images on Getty and the smallest is advertised at $50 so how can they be so low? That's a serious bulk discount! Any way to drop Getty on 500px as I'll be paying them soon?

Same here. Just tried on a different browser (FF) and I received an email saying I need to reset my password!

Same. If it's anything like the endless review times it will never be fixed!

Just clicked display statistics without changing anything and the daily sales thumbnails changed to revenue per image for the period! Useful feature!

@Chichikov To find an image to edit it or delete it, search in your portfolio (using a relevant keyword), get the Id number, then enter the Id number in "Search by content Id", which is in your dashboard. Then delete the image or edit as you wish.

Asfaik most sites don't have a search for images which aren't online yet, but the above method is pretty simple to find and edit individual images in your AS portfolio.

Hope this helps.

So when I want to create a new collection, I have to go to the portfolio page, search by keyword, write down the ID number, go to my files and search the id number and add it to a collection. Rinse and repeat the 60+ times to add all the files.

Sounds so much better than search files by keyword, ticking all the files returned by the search and add to collection.

This isn't a problem about files not online, it's a problem when dealing with a large batch alteration... whether that's creating a new featured collection, edit keywords or delete.

I have no idea about collections, @Chichikov said he could not find and edit/delete individual images because he can't find them, when in fact it is possible to find images with keywords. No need to write down the Id. use copy/paste.

I'm not responsible for the way AS works but it's been said several times in this forum that there is no method to search ones own portfolio. And I'm just saying there is a way.

You're a star, I'd clicked every link and not seen this page!

I was hoping they would forget to close FT as I don't like using the AS site. It's the most frustrating site of them all, why under 'my statistics' does it default to top sellers!! A simple remember last settings would save me 9 clicks every time I refresh the page. Also, is there a way to see what files have sold on a particular day because I've given up searching for it!

What a system! We'll be going the same way in the UK if the tory scum get their way.

Worst month since I had 100 images 10 years ago, to date July has had 10 zero days and the other days are not much better. 5 other agencies are beating SS, how the mighty have fallen (for me anyway).
