I emailed them to close my account months ago. I subsequently found that I am unable to login now as "there is no account attached to that email".

However all my files are still on the site and they are for sale. I have sent emails to them about this but no reply.

Any suggestions on how to "encourage" them to delete my files?

I tried uploading another footage file and am happy to see it is reading all metadata including the title now.

3
Uploads are working now. However the metadata is not being read

Correction: Keywords are being read but not titles

I am getting an error message when I try to login. It is as follows:

When I try to contact support I get the same message

I've had this happen a few times. Seems to be a glitch.

should i remove my clips manually? and is there way to delete all the port?

Send them an email and tell then you want your content deleted and account closed. I did so a month ago, and it was deleted after a couple of emails back and forth.

I would actually be surprised if they are still around in another year or two.

I quit uploading to them some time ago, when it became obvious they couldn't be trusted. However I still have over 8,000 files with them. I don't want to wait for them to close my account but I can't find a way to delete files in mass.

Anybody know?

General - Stock Video / Re: Pond5 removing 4k pricing
« on: February 14, 2019, 12:17 »
Could this just be some confusion about the web pricing option?

The new lower priced web option is for 720 files. A client who buys this gets the reduced price but gets the 720 file (not 4k or 1080)

Also you can set the price for the web files. If you object to the lower price you could set it to the 1080 price or even the 4k,.

All of my footage seems to be at the price I set it but, of course, I can't say for others.

I have had a fair number of web priced sales and they don't seem to be cutting into 4k or 1080 sales. Difficult to know for sure but so far I am happy with it.

« on: January 01, 2019, 10:03 »
I had this problem suddenly come up at 29.97 frame rates. I started submitting at 30 fps and never had another problem. I think it may be how their programs are reading the metadata and perhaps rounding off.

An update on my not receiving replies.

James found that replies were made and forwarded copies. I don't know why I didn't  receive the originals and they are not in my spam folder. However I am satisfied that they were sent.

My thanks to James and Alamy for quickly examining the problem

I have sent you a PM with details.

I had virtually the same experience as the original poster. I had an acceptance rate of over 99% but had a rejection for a iPhone image

My QC was dropped from 3 stars to one and frozen for 10 days.

I wrote a polite message 6 weeks ago and no reply.

Followed up with a second message and still no reply.

I have always looked favorably at Alamy but I am reticent to start uploading again when I seem to be treated with contempt

Could someone tell me how to delete or disable an online footage file at Dreamstime? It has been approved but I found I have an editing error.

Thanks

General - Stock Video / Re: Free Program For Converting Time Lapse?
« on: September 07, 2017, 14:41 »
LRTimelapse is NOT free (except for the trial version able to use only 400 frames)

Only 400 frames? I don't have a single timelapse / hyperlapse for sale as stock longer than 400 frames. For a beginner who doesn't even have a tool to put together an image sequence I would say that is plenty.  :)

And by the time they have made even close to 500 they will have realized that After Effects is the way to go.

Maybe that's why you have not reached 500 euros  :P
To properly capture a sunset or a sunrise, stretching over 2 hours in real time, you need something between 1,200 to 1,800 frames.

1,200 to 1,800 frames @30fps represents 40-60 seconds. Viewers are not willing to invest that much time in viewing a clip. I produce day to night timelapses of 8-10 seconds. Even then a buyer will often cut it to three seconds or less, especially when using it as a transition between real time video.

Have a look at what is being used in television shows, the timelapses are very short. A good example is the series Breaking Bad. It has hundreds of sequences which are very short but they are very effective.

You will get a lot of footage rejected if it is not very stable. I travel a lot but always shoot footage with a tripod. I actually travel with 2 tripods and cameras because I can shoot 2 sequences for day to night timelapses at the same time and it acts as a backup as well

Look for a lightweight tripod that folds small. I use Fotopro c-5i. Comes with a nice nylon case for about $190 each.

Another refused several ones for dust spots, I had to reply: "those are called birds, they are animals that fly. Something like airplanes, but much smaller"

Haha I know. I crop out most birds if they don't add anything for just that reason.

Those "Happy Runny Nose Day" on facet backgrounds are bad enough, but how about nearly 2700 gradients - no text no nothing!

https://www.shutterstock.com/g/PixelartGallery?searchterm=colorful+abstract+gradient&search_source=base_gallery&language=en&sort=newest&safe=true

Based on the image numbers, this rubbish was uploaded late January/early February. This is current policy or practice - I'd love to know if they intend this or if they're just asleep at the wheel.

There are over 2000 files of "colorful abstract gradient" all just a simple two color gradient. Fascinating!! I would go over the edge just producing them.

123RF / Footage reviews done!!
« on: February 10, 2017, 08:54 »
I've had 700 footage files waiting for review and none done for 9 months.

In the last 24 hours about 240 have been done. On the downside about 20% rejected as similar but I expected it might be one way of getting them done in a hurry. For example night timelapses in Phoenix. One passed and one rejected although the actual subject was different. I'm not complaining though as at least I'm finally getting them online.

It was interesting that they did very recent files. The files from nine months ago weren't looked at.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: DeepMeta v3 Coming soon...
« on: February 07, 2017, 14:57 »
I've just unloaded several videos through DeepMeta3 and its much better than ESP because it shows embedded titles, keywords etc.

You still need to wade through the annoyance of "suggested keywords" but copy-paste of them to other files is much easier.

The whole interface just seems a lot nicer to use.

I've uploaded v3 and all my files from the old version are gone. Somewhere it says I can continue to run V2 separately but the v3 installation seems to have written over v2, so I can't run the old version.

How can I access all of that previous information?

 >:( >:(

Shutterstock is much higher but Fotolia sales are increasing nicely in the last few months.

24

Responding to Harvepino who wants an external csv or excel file with data.

Ah right. And I agree with you.

25
Good lord, no.  Am I the only one that doesn't want to keep data in a text file correlated with video file names?  You don't do it for photos, why for video?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your post but the info is embedded in the video file the same as an image is
