The final cashout process does not trigger an email confirmation, so it's normal to not get one. We won't start sending payments until the site is closed and sales are finished, to ensure everyone gets paid their final account balance - so no worries if a sale comes in after you submitted your payment request.

Also, thanks to everyone for their support over the years. It's been a fun ride for the last ~20 years!

Hello Mr. Ducan, I would like you to please pay me the $5.05 that I have in CanStock in sales, thank you!

It has been more than a week since I wrote to Mr. Duncan and the CanStock email and I have not received any response regarding the debt they owe me.  >:(

I'm sure you'll never hear from him.
I sent messages here, and by email, on October 1, 2023, 5 months ago! NEVER received anything. His silence is worth money...
We must definitely mourn this money ;)
We should do a campaign here so that our money is paid, even so that people see how scammers certain companies are. Get us back the money that belongs to us! >:(

Please! Do you have Canstock email or Duncan contact here? They have some money that belong to me! Thank!

Duncan made a reply in one of the forum threads near the bottom of the thread, click his profile and send him a private message, maybe he will see it: https://www.microstockgroup.com/canstockphoto-com/canstockphoto-ceased-operations-and-is-closing-down/

Canstock's email is "support at canstockphoto dot com"

Thank you very much, I'm going to write to Duncan and CanStock, then I'll write here that they responded to me. :)

He owes me money too! Come on Duncan don't be a thief!
Someone could call Ducan to listen all complaints to this thread? As shown above in an image CanStock have some money that belong to me, it's not much money, however it's my money.

No. I hired someone to make me an original character design...

Were they cheap?

No. I am seriously considering just dropping this stock industry crap and start drawing... I could boost sales of my artwork through my filming knowledge and make better money. Just thinking about making investments FOR making stock footage and then getting rejected makes me sick to my stomach. Meanwhile I had 95% approval rate with all AI generated images and had many sales already. Makes you think twice about what should be the logical course of action. There is a good saying: "The only way of making money in photography is by selling all your gear."

But there are people who photograph weddings and make more money than in stock photography. You could venture into that business, but that requires assistants, specialization and equipment.

Though I did receive my final payment without any problem, I have had trouble getting my earnings from them in the past. You need to keep bugging them about it, I told them I would file a complaint with the BBB and eventually I did get my money
How did you contact CanStock? I would like they paid me some money!
I contacted them through support while they were still up and running. They responded at the beginning then they ignored me but I still kept at it, threatening to file a complaint at the BBB.

Don't stop bugging them until you get your money. I think Duncan has an account here, you can try sending him a pm.

Dreamstime.com / Re: $100 payout minimum sucks!!!
« on: March 07, 2024, 18:40 »
It sucks on Dreamstime they have $100 payout minimum.  I'm at $91 now, but what if they go out of business?  They may just get away with not paying any contributors below $100 sales balance in a broad daylight.  Sales revenue is rightfully ours.  Any amount should be claimed by us.  It would be a flat-out theft of our money if that happens.
Probably they will do as CanStock did!

I have been with Canstockphoto since 2005-06. I'm really sorry to see it close.

That said, the deadline that was given for submitting a final payment request ended up in my server's spam folder and as a result I never saw it. I randomly found out the news after trying to log in to the site.

I haven't been submitting new content for many years, however also for many years I have been gathering royalties within the site instead of pulling it out. Several times I converted royalties to credits to acquire images for some of my projects. Unfortunately, my remaining royalty balance was well over $1000, which to my understanding Canstock will refuse to pay me. I have emailed them about it and I await their reply.

Leaving that money for a long time within Canstock was surely to Canstock's benefit, and now it feels bad that I am going to be "punished" for doing that. The fact that the email ended up on my server's spam folder is just what happened to me. I could instead be laying sick in bed, be dealing with a personal tragedy, or anything else someone who doesn't log into the website often, be dealing with that would deprive them of the "request what you are owed now or lose it" period. How fair does it sound to deprive someone of what they are owed?  If it was me, I would simply pay up all royalties to all accounts that have already provided me with their payment info in the past since this is money that doesn't really belong to me.

I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on that.

Thanks!

Konstantinos
Did they reply? I have only noticed this now, email must've gone to spam folder. No idea what my balance was, can't remember the last time I withdrew from them. Doesn't seem that this can be legal? They have my PayPal details, no reason why they couldn't just send the money, other than it gives them a nice bonus when they close down at short notice?

The same happened to me. I made around $5 dollars and i have there my PayPal account, never received the money.

It's true that now renders image or videos made by humans using programs like Cinema 4D, Blender, Autodesk 3D Max for example have to be included as AI images or videos? All this without using AI tools. Thanks! I don't use AI tools.

Someone knows how many days appears the money when it is withdrawed from Adobe Stock? I withdrowed on september 12th and not news about on my PayPal account. Thanks!

I normally request money at the end of each month, but this month I too requested a payout after the Firefly "bonus" showed up. I haven't yet been paid either. They say 7-10 days (I think - it might say 7-10 business days).

I can't request my end of the month payout until the earlier one is paid - you're not allowed to make a request if there's a payment pending - so I hope they sort this out next week.
Thank you so much! :)

Speaking of aliens.
NYC Spends $8 Million a Day to House Migrants as Influx Swells
The costs associated with the migrant crisis are ballooning beyond the citys ability to afford them, city officials have repeatedly warned. The cost of sheltering and caring for the migrant population will reach $4.3 billion by July 1 of next year, according to city estimates but the total cost could be much larger if recent immigration trends continue
Seems they found it's easy to be a sanctuary city in theory, but much different when it becomes the reality.
Why do the government let this happen?

Many more agencies will disappear during the next years, AI will eventually kill them all.
I wonder too many people on here said " AI would be nice and it will help them with our stock business, it just another tool". :)

24
DALL-E could be use for Adobe Stock or another agency?
i only see this about.

Adobe, over 500k AI images for sale, 99% will never be sold because there is little or no use for them. By the end of the year, following the actual trend of uploads, it will be 5 millions for sale. When do you think Adobe will start charging for uploading AI generated garbage into their portal?

your source for any of those claims?

guess i'm finally part of the 1% since my AI images have sold on AS, SS and DT

I'm not a 1%er yet, but I expect I will be soon enough. Just sold on SS "Ancient Paleozoic era clams. Brachiopods, with a symmetrical ray pattern" Macro, which isn't something I'd expect that most people have heard of, let alone in an sort of demand? I think a couple of my AI creations have a pretty good chance, as they are much more useful. I admit, not as pretty as some that people have shown, but still, useful.

I have not used DALL-E2, because it ask for a phone number and in my country is not listed (i live in Venezuela). I have used MidJourney but in the Discord chat, because i don't know if that app is in another place. Also i have used a app called craiyon.com, but the image don't have size for microstock. Do you know some program that could be use for free for microstock image?

You might just try, if you haven't already, it just sends a text code to the phone number. Unless your entire country can't use the free site? The phone is only to verify the account and one account per person, or one per phone number that is. Write them, maybe there's another way?

DALL-E / Open AI, 1024, resize the image to 3300 SQ, as they are square. You can work on sharpen or use Giga AI or something else, and reduce to 5MP and try that. Everything needs to be edited and cleaned and corrected anyway. None of this is, give a prompt and get a useful image. You will have to edit and work on them.

As usual, if it's FREE it's on the top of my list, and Open AI is that.  8)
No, DALL-E  looks like is not avaible in my country (Venezuela) , look.
Something went wrong
OpenAI's services are not available in your country.
