It is a pity for people who continue to upload their work to Shutterstock. Sometimes this is a very complex work, clearly not worth 10 cents. But smart people say that the whole world is gradually moving towards a slave-owning society. To replace capitalism.

Could it be that Josephine is someone from Shutterstock? Could it be that Josephine is Joseph or even Jonathan? What an honor!

If it is true that there are more than a million contributors on Shutterstock, only a few thousand of them have disabled their portfolios,
There are no millions of contributors on SS. There's less than a 100k of actively working portfolios. Others are abandoned, or never started. Active uploaders was counted in 2016 and it was only 30000. After that making a profit for newbies became harder, so I highly doubt they could double the number.
PokemonMaster, thank you for your answer.

If it is true that there are more than a million contributors on Shutterstock, only a few thousand of them have disabled their portfolios, most have stopped uploading, and a small portion continue to upload, then disabling the portfolio or suspending the upload is all about self-respect and common sense.
I have referred over 2000 contributors to Shutterstock. Out of these 2000, 90% of them have 0 image.
And out of this 10%, only about 2% have over 100 images.
And probably only a few of them among these 2000 contributors have over 1000 images.
So in conclusion, there's only about 1% of serious contributor out of this 1 million contributors. That work out to be only 10000 contributors that are really serious. Of course, there's still many thousands who are not serious that continue to upload.
Shutterstock usually have about 2million new images per week, now it has gone down to 800k. That's a major impact actually. That means more than 50% of contributor are revolting in one way or another.
You must also understand that with the scarcity of new good images, SS is now accepting lousy images to fulfill their "quota". And even with that, they only manage to get 800k approved.
Charlene, thank you for your answer!

If it is true that there are more than a million contributors on Shutterstock, only a few thousand of them have disabled their portfolios, most have stopped uploading, and a small portion continue to upload, then disabling the portfolio or suspending the upload is all about self-respect and common sense. Who values and respects themselves, disables the portfolio or at least stops uploading. Those who do not value themselves and their work continue to upload new content. But do you really think that Shutterstock will listen to the several thousand contributors who have disabled their portfolios? Reporting period for Shutterstock... My portfolio was turned off, did it affect anything? While someone keeps uploading hundreds of images... When someone with a criminal past died of a drug overdose, the whole world went out to protest. No one will come out to protest for us, because there is no organizer and Director. No one is interested in our problems, because they cannot cause a global response. I think that Shutterstock decided to make more money on us. And it never reverses it's decisions. I'm preparing myself for the fact that I need to get out of there completely.

The rich have everything, and ordinary people only have the statue of liberty and freedom of speech in the kitchen.

Too little percent of contributors are ready to strike.
I would not be surprised to learn that some of the people who are now protesting in the streets in support of black people, at the same time, continue to upload images to Shutterstock!

I noticed that while we are protesting against injustice on the part of Shutterstock, there are people who continue to upload their images to Shutterstock. They couldn't even wait a month? Are they really nuts? And if the Second World War were going on, whose side would they be on?..

I think that requests to return everything as it was will not be effective. They are neither our blood relatives, nor even friends. Petitions will not be effective. Only tough and decisive measures will have an effect. The easiest thing is to stop uploading new images. I remember the last time I stopped uploading because of the requirement to make a large artboard, and after that I received a letter from them asking me to start uploading again. All images become outdated at some point. Shutterstock will not be able to function for long on the old images. Even monsters need food! Unfortunately not everyone will stop uploading to Shutterstock.

Someone will draw a vector similar to mine and it will be accepted because it was not drawn by me! And if I draw a vector similar to mine, it will be rejected.

I also received such a letter. What's new? Working on anything exciting? We'd love to see your latest content! Upload your recent work so that our customers around the globe can see it and you can start earning from it. Upload my content
In other words, we do not understand what is happening, we are still the number one in the world, we even have rooms for yoga and computer shooting in our skyscraper. And medical treatment in America is very expensive, especially the treatment of the mind. Therefore, we are not treated, and sent you this letter.

If you look at the M-rank, then you learn the majority continues to upload vectors on Shutterstock under the new conditions. In that case, Shutterstock wouldn't change anything. And I for some reason decided that the majority ceased to upload vectors. But you can look at M-rank to see number of vectors uploaded last week for any contributor. So the battle is lost.

Someone received a diploma from a prestigious University and was successful in selling toilet paper, and now decided to try his hand at trading stock images. I do not want to participate in his experiments, taking a wait-and-see position.

Someone might come in handy. Finally decided to clear cookies and all data. Now everything works as it should.
Good that you found it. I was out of ideas. Look what I got yesterday morning?
Oh, my! It looks like it's contagious! I would not bother with this browser, if not for the brilliant script of deymosD, which works only in Mozila. At the moment everything works perfectly for me.

Today I installed an earlier version of Mozila, 65.0.1. I started it and immediately checked whether it works with Shutterstock. Everything worked fine! Then I connected to Sync and moved my user data to that earlier version of Mozila. 65.0.1. And a miracle happened - again appeared red sofa, instead of pictures on Shutterstock. I tried safe mode, still shows red sofa. So, we can only wait for the problem to solve itself. Mozila is convenient because there is a script that allows you to see all my sales on one page, rather than clicking on different links.

...Do you use the same version Firefox Quantum 65.0.2?...
I just upgraded Firefox from 63.xxx to 65.0.1 on a Mac and can log in as a buyer (I have two accounts) and do searches and things work as expected. I don't normally use Firefox though, so it may be that there was a problem but it's been resolved?
I remember that I recently decided to update my browser. Now I have the latest version and apparently it is not friends with Shutterstock. One can only wait for a new version of Mozila.

I apologize if I wasn't clear, yes I use Firefox, I also use Chrome and sometimes Edge.
Do you use the same version Firefox Quantum 65.0.2? It works fine with submit.shutterstock.com pages, yet it doesn't work with shutterstock.com pages and I still have the same page with red sofa if I try to view any page with my or somebody's work. Something went wrong, but we're working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Error code: 500 Opera works fine with the same pages.

I apologize if I wasn't clear, yes I use Firefox, I also use Chrome and sometimes Edge. All three, depending on what I'm doing, but I use Firefox as my main browser. Nothing wrong with the others, Chrome is my second choice because so many site function best with that.
When you asked I went and looked, everything was fine, using Firefox. Your issue could be local, like your home, on and off connection from your service, something in between, or the server at SS being down. Hard to guess what the cause might have been.
Thank you, Uncle Pete, for your answer. I read on another microstock forum that someone also had problems with red sofas.

A page with a red sofa opens. Something went wrong, but we're working on it. They don't really do anything. It's just an automatic page. The last few days the problem has become permanent. I wonder if anyone else has a similar problem?

I've reinstalled the script and now it is working. I don't know why it stopped working before.
