I have linked my site on Fotolia now to Adobe. And I am impressed whit the ease and the very nice page to look at. Thank you for that advice. :)

Thank you for all your answer. Greatly appreciated.

Adobe stock is the same as Fotolia I think???

I have looked through my microstock sites and found that those who sell for me are;

Dreamstime not often but at a good price,
Shutterstock the best site for me (I will avoid BigStock because they belong to Shutterstock so I think I will compete with myself and sell at a lower price on BigStock)

I listened to you and started to uploaded to some more sites and chosed..
Depositphoto and 123RF lets see what happens. Hope they are good choices.

I would love to have something on Alamy but I worry about my ability to upload regularly. How often did you submit anything to them?
I would not think about upload anything that I have on a microstock site. It has to bee unique and making quality takes time. Probably more time then I have. Preferabel for me would be illustrations. Any suggestions?

Well. I got a schock when I found a serie of photograps on Shutterstocks page, of a woman who was supposed to dance but in fact she has lost her balance and was starting to fall. It cant be a real person who has reviewed that. Especially not that photo where her underwear showed up. I felt embarrassed on the behalf of Shutterstock.

Thank you Brasilnut I will read those blogs.

Alright! Then Depositphotos come to my mind. But there are warnings in this group about them. I will check. Thanks for your answer. :)

General Stock Discussion / Same images on many Stockphoto sites
« on: August 18, 2018, 07:20 »
Hey everyone!

Since the agencys pay and charges very different, I wonder if it is a bad thing to have the same image on many different sites? As a customer it would be possible to get the image you want cheaper if you go to right site.

I have started to upload once again to Shutterstock and Dreamstime, mainly because I do photographs and illustrations and if it only sits on my hard disc it makes nothing good more than I feel good when making it.

So my choice now is - 1 stay with Shutterstock and Dreamstime or - 2 find one or two sites more and upload my small portfolio and see if it could bring me some pocketmoney.

Dreamstime.com / AI or robot inspection???
« on: August 17, 2018, 16:04 »
I havent been active on Dreamstime for a couple of years. But I have uploaded  some photos and illustrations recently. Sometimes a picture will be reviewed immediately and show up in my portfolio. And sometimes one photo show up and the rest have to wait as usual. What is going on here? Have they start using AI to inspect images?

Yes of course. But I am very unsecure how realistic shadow would fit into this style. I will take your advice and see what I can do. Obviously I can improve this even if I want to keep the style.  I have another one under work, lets see what I can do if I assume your advice.
Thank you Hannafate

Hey
I do illustrations like this. What shall I improve?
https://www.dreamstime.com/illustration-christmas-tree-snowy-landscape-star-top-tree-two-stars-hanging-border-borders-image123852728
I have pretty much next to nothing in sales, very depressing. Either I improve or I stop. But I already have developed a lot since the first drawings I made, so maybe I can improve a little bit more.
And of course I have to figure what will a buyer need? Any tip will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Bigstock.com / Re: uploads

Ive tried internet explorer and it works but slowe, extremely slow. So I went back to my beloved Firefox and suddenly it works once again. And no explanations. In this business you need to have a lot of patience.

I only use the simple upload, but I have been unable to have any picture at all submitted  for about 3 weeks. The submit button wont show up.

Anyone else having problem with this?

I think its a little bit confusing.............

My experience today  ( Im only two months old in this, so I am pretty unexperienced ) is that different sites require different preparing of the image.

Some say - its overfiltered, some say its approved. And still it is the same picture - prepared the same way.

I save all my images as working psd, so of course its relatively simple to change it. But confusing since I didnt know yet which one requires what.

So any sharing would be helpful. I contribute today to - dreamstime, 123RF, Cutcaster, Visco images, Bigstock, Canstock, Fotolia.

I also have some reflections if it is prefarable to do as much as possible in camera raw - maybe that dont destroy the image so much = overfiltered. (I use CS4)

greatful to all responses

Newbie Discussion / Re: see views on my image
« on: March 01, 2011, 13:15 »
OK !  I will take your advice and go on without paying so much attention to views.

No I dont pick sites based on where I can see views. I try to concentrate on only those six. Because its overwhelming to learn more right now.

I try shutterstock but still I havent pass the 7 of 10 test.

Special thanks for the top 10 tips. Great to read.

Bobbi you spooked about a portfolio of 1000 images. My goal now is one with 50 image.
But I already have reach my first goal to produce image with enough high quality to get approved.

My next goal is to produce images with even higher quality.
The  next goal is to produce images with even higher quality. And so on..
Maybe after that, I will focus on sale. When I know if I am good enough.

Thanks to you all

Newbie Discussion / Re: see views on my image

The agencies I prefer is..............

Visco                        easy to see views                                 and I got some views
123RF                      cant see any views at all                     how to handle this?
Bigstock                   I have to click on every image                very time consuming
Fotolia                     easy to see views                                 and I got some views
Dreamstime              easy to see views                                and I got 2 sales
Canstock                 east to see views                                  but only one view on each image

I am only 2 months old to this "business" so I think its extremely important to check the views. After all Im into a learning period.
At this stage I doesnt expect sales.

I found this microstock group very supportive so I will be happy for all responses.

Newbie Discussion / checking views at different sites
« on: March 01, 2011, 05:34 »
Ooooops! I make something wrong with my first thread. So I got two post on the same subject. Please excuse me.
I try to delete one of the posts but didnt make it.  :'(

As a newbie its very important to me to check how many views I got on different pictures.

This is my prefered agencys,     Visco images    easy to check, a few views
123RF             cant see any views at all   ???
Bigstock          I have to click on each image to check the views - very time consuming  >:(
Fotolia            easy to check, some more views
Dreamstime    easy to check, some more views and two sales!  ;D
Can Stock       easy to check, only one views on each images

As I am only 2 months old in this "business" its extremely important to me to be able to see how many views I have.

123RF is my big problem - how to see views?
Bigstock the second - because of their time consuming construction.

Happy for all responses. This microstockgroup is a very supportive community.
