Thanks, but it hasn't turned up there yet, because I have a single image still pending from before the 30th of June...

Veer / Re: Veer Dash for Cash« on: August 28, 2010, 04:48 »Pheby, Go to your Dashboard/Statistics. You will find your Gross earnings there. It's your sales earnings plus Dash for Cash earnings. No, the balance hasn't changed. I got the email stating the dash for cash earnings though. Have to see. 103

I'm still searching - where do I find the sweet new balance on the site?

Just noticed that I was talking about a different lightbox: I was assuming it was the "Top of the Class" one on the front page full of new images (many near duplicates as well). The lightbox "School Daze" is completly different of course. I understand your point now, Lisa. Sorry, took me ages!

Love that term! I first read about it from JJRD who was making a point about an image in which a kid had a grubby T-Shirt on. I can't get it out of my mind and think about it every time I'm trying to get the sweatiness off pasta.

But not all of the images in there are exclusive. And I think they are all from July and August, so it must be about fresh rather than about exclusive images. Maybe not that bad, as everyone is complaining about new images not picking up.

Veer / Re: Review time« on: August 21, 2010, 23:35 »
I've no reason to join in and complain with you - all of my dash for cash submissions have been reviewed now, and out of 427 only 2 were rejected. No changing of rules or review behavior to be observed when I was getting near the 400 mark. Never received an update email on the earnings after the first one, though.
Oh, I might add: not a single sale yet either. Fags resting on the ends of sofas, FD? 108

Much the same with the "Request new content" forum where many post their images after stating "Not what the OP is asking for, but it might be helpful anyway". Yes, annoying indeed.

Dreamframer, the language would be Serbian? Didn't that used to be "Serbo-Croatian" or "Croatio-Serbian", depending on who was speaking i?. Would you say that Serbian and Croatian are two languages or more like dialects of one language?

@rubyroo: ok, we can't look into God's mind, but I'm still sure that he's a non-smoker. Only joking. It is actually a painful picture to look at.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Are Dreamstime sales being recorded today?« on: August 16, 2010, 17:41 »
Well, I started wondering today aswell. I didn't have a single sale all day long, and that's very unusual for a weekday. Up to now, I was willing to put it down to, well, you know...

StockFresh / Re: StockFresh - from Peter Hamza and Andras Pfaff« on: August 16, 2010, 17:40 »
Normally I don't bother with new sites at all, but after the StockXpert experience, I'm very optimistic about them. 25 a day is a bit of a pain when you're trying to upload your whole port, but the limit's understandable. I didn't have reason to complain about the time they took to inspect my application, it only took a few weeks. They also have the most wonderful inspection times, anything from ten minutes to twelve hours.

Adobe Stock / Re: Suprising downturn at Fotolia?« on: August 16, 2010, 17:26 »
I must be lucky: Starting punctually August 1st, I've been "back to normal" with Fotolia, with a very constant number of sales on every weekday. And I wasn't hit too bad by the summer slump in June/July anyway. Also, since the same date, exactly 20 % of every day's sales there are Christmas images, I've been waiting for the Christmas season since January.

Yeah, I know, I'm in London quite often where the prices are similar. Needless to say I never fail to take as much supply I'm allowed (they are about half that in Germany). Since the prices have been rising that high, people have stopped offering other smokers a cigarette, and if you smoke in the street you're asked for a "spare fag" all the time. Whatever a spare fag is... 120

But yes, you can live cheaply everywhere if you watch out. I only need 6m2 for my PC and me when I'm alone in Europe. Over there, we need a little bit more space. No, I didn't take it that way at all. No worries. 6sqm would kill me within two days though, I must say. 121

Nah, cheap chinese copies from the "market". 2 euro max. The same famous market (it's on a blog I'm preparing) where Windows 7, CS4 and all movies by the dozen are 90cents. I think I'm the only one islands around that has a legal Windows.
But we're getting off-topic. [/quote] Yeah, well I often like cheap stuff - I have to! 122

General Stock Discussion / Re: How old are you? A poll on the ages of microstockers« on: August 12, 2010, 18:22 »Yes Berlin has some nice bridges to sleep under and it can be very cozy there, in the proper carton box. Thanks a lot! Germany isn't really that expensive - but then again I don't really have much to compare it with. My rent is low because I've been in the same flat all my adult life, no kids, no car, no cell phone... health insurance is quite reasonable because of my status as a small business (in the first year). It's really not that bad for me. I'm well above the amount a single person can get as social security money off the state. Also, my partner is a head chef - I do get some lovely freebie evening meals brought home for me. 124
Veer / Re: Veer sales increasing?« on: August 12, 2010, 18:14 »
Haven't had a single sale there yet. And about a third of my dash for cash stuff is still pending. But out of the 300 already inspected, only 2 were rejected.

No idea why! Interesting how we put a picture of someone together on not much of a ground at all... I'm in the 30+ group, and I'm in Berlin, Germany. I grew up there, but my parents are British. I wouldn't see myself as a pro, but for perculiar and complicated reasons, all my income is from microstock. But - for perculiar ad complicated reasons - my cost of living is really low.
