Photoshop Discussion / Re: PS Update a big mistake« on: May 29, 2022, 08:19 »
If your GPU is very old, it might not be compatible with PS.
I had that problem with my laptop, but I found a way to force PS to use it anyway. You can try to making a .txt file called PSUserConfig.txt, containing the following: # Force GPU On GPUForce 1 And save it in [Installation Drive]:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\[Photoshop_version]\[Photoshop_version]Settings\ https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/enable-optional-extensions-photoshop-cc.html 28

Even though it's an old thread, it go me curious too.
So I made this chart, with data from 11 years. October is a clear winner, but the differences are not that big. 31

Adobe Stock / Re: 2nd Wave of upfront Adobe Stock royalty payments happening soon« on: August 22, 2021, 02:35 »Can't believe that people now love renting their images for $5 for whole year.. 12 months.. I'm not with Adobe but surely they don't accept images of anything and everything and the images accepted are reasonably quite good. Anyone who has experience with multiple stock agencies, would know that an image with zero sales in a site, can be the best seller in other site. But each to his own...But thats why you can deselect the images that you don't want in the free section. I deselected lots of images. Not just the ones that are selling well on other sites, but also the ones that I felt were too good to give away for the price offered. 34

The reason for my question is that I'm considering deleting my files on SS, and upload them via WS instead. After a necessary wait of course. But if the general feeling was that sales are worse via WS, I wouldn't do it. For now, I think I will upload new files to WS, and by the end of the year see how they have done. 35

My port size is smaller than yours, and sales in 2021 also smaller. But number of sales from files uploaded in 2021 is higher than yours. 38

I think SS is rewarding contributors in search after upload rate.
The more uploads in a period, the higher ranking. 41

Maybe it's because a lot of people look at his portfolio?
I looked at it too, and also find it strange that for example a photo of a camel on his last page, when sorted after popularity, show up as number one when I search for camel at SS. 43

I just checked my tax form at SS.
It was approved january 2018, and according to the FAQ valid for 3 years. So it expired january 2021. Maybe that explains why I haven't been payed yet in february? There has not been any notification from SS about the expired tax form, even though the FAQ say they will notify. I have filled out a new tax form now, and it has been approved. 45

For me number of sales ended up almost the same as january 2020.
But earnings were 72% lower than january 2020, and 60% lower than they would have been with the old earning structure 48

General - Stock Video / Re: How bad is it for the rest of you?« on: January 22, 2021, 05:47 »
My december 2020 total was 10% lower than 2019 total.
For SS so far, january 2021 is 65% lower than it would have been with the old earnings structure. And it's 85% lower than january 2020. But the month isn't over yet, so it will probably end at about 80% lower than january 2020. It is going to be the first month ever, where I make less on SS than on AS. |
