no way to poison images at agencies

Really, why? Will they sue us? lol

i think it's not even possible to detect cloaking / poisoning on an image

I think what he means is that you can't poison images you already have on the agencies. You'd have to delete and re-upload. Not practical.

Wrong on so many levels

Click on Portfolio in the left sidebar - The Catalog Manager is there

As shady as the agencies have been with us over the years - there is no transparency with any of them. We have to trust that they are reporting every single transaction and at the right amount and percentage. There is no recourse to challenge their books, they change the rules at their whim. Frankly I wonder if the op-out button does nothing more than opt us out of getting paid for the use of our images not the actual use of them.

only rejection i received recently was 'similar content'

Was it an editorial image? I recently had an editorial rejected with that reason.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Adobe Stock Keywords
« on: September 12, 2023, 21:33 »
Photoshop file info function keeps all keywords in the order you input.  I used to use Bridge for Metadata but got fed up with Bridge sorting everything alphabetically which then made it a pain to upload to Adobe.  Now I use the file info function in photoshop, which includes the ability to save a template which can be applied to all photos in a series.  Easy.

I always keyword in Bridge and it never changes my order.

Depositphotos.com lets you download your own images. I dont think any of the others do.

here's the screen shot of the pay out page

Customers have been complaining about this for years.

Currently trying my luck at underwater images. But I am no marine life expert and I am suspecting that the ai is being very creative and inventing new species...so I am going more towards watercolor or designs that are clearly art.

I think this can also be a problem if you are trying to create landscapes with a localized style. That cactus might not actually grow in Mexico...

Thecustomers will learn to pay attention to this, but it is important to consider when creating content.

I think you give them way too much credit

From the FAQ page:

In July of 2023, we are excited to extend this new revenue opportunity to our Bigstock contributing artists as well! However, if you feel that this new way of licensing content is not the right option for your portfolio, you can manage your licensing permissions under your profile on the My Account page.

but good luck finding it.

I also got money and am supposedly opted out.
I went to try to find the opt-out button but cannot find it.

Anybody know where they have hidden it?
It's not in my account settings and I think I have looked everywhere else.

Edit:

Never Mind Found it in Account settings and I am opted out and still got money.

If it is the Contributor AI Fund it should appear on your earnings summary - remember you need to scroll all the way over to the right to see that column.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe sales
« on: April 01, 2023, 16:06 »
Adobe had been out performing SS this year until March when SS was $55.01 up over Adobe.
But YTD Adobe is $431 up over SS.
Portfolio size is 12,160 Adobe  vs. 14,740 on SS

edit: Adobe has 211 more DL's ytd than SS.

I'll echo the terrible news thought - even though things got a little less in depth after Amazon bought them, it was still a good place to go to get solid information about camera gear.

I guess Imaging Resource will have to do...

Me: I see. How do the customers qualify?

DP: It's the special plan our sales department offers to some of our customers. Unfortunately, I can not answer the question regarding the qualification system

Interesting. I doubt there's any qualification at all.

So All of a sudden I see I'm 'opted back in' after the said they would remove me.

Firing off another opt out email.

Where do you see that? I saw nothing in my profile except for the email.

Bottom of the earnings page is a line for Revenue share
If you are opted out there shouldnt be any money listed. Today i see there is.
