Apparently files, showing on a map, but not in earnings page are not real sales.
From the SS forum:
Hi,
We have been working to deploy a fix but it has proved more complex than originally thought.
The issue is limited to the map. Your earnings data is still accurate. We will update you as soon as we have more news.
Thanks,
Kate
Thanks for posting it here. There is one thing though that makes me doubt it was just the map glitch - one of my sales from the map that didn't appear in my earnings yesterday looked too real! The geo tag for that ghost sale showed a certain location in the north of Mexico, the buyer bought a photo from my Copper Canyons series - this photo is not accounted for in my earnings. And today this same buyer from the same location came back to buy another image from the same series - this second photo is shown in my earnings - so I'd bet it's not just the map issue

I noticed that about 2/3 of my August income comes from US buyers, is this number growing for you too? In June/July it was about 1/2. Much less before that. Also, sales are real good, with August being my BME even though I haven't uploaded for a couple of months. Could it be that former DPC buyers finally migrated to Adobe and FT?

I had 7 credit sales reported from Aug 13 through Aug 21, but none during the first 12 days of August..

Last month the PPs were reported in 2 "batches", the second one came around July 24th, so hopefully in a day or 2 there will be more PPs reported

I already miss my map But I don't think they are really fixing it - it's rather they either want to change something in it or remove it for good..

Never really had gallery views maybe a few a week and not every week. Do they reflect anything? My sales are growing through the last few months, just had my BDE yesterday with nice 2 SODs. And gallery views are stuck at zero for a long time;D

So many of us - I failed to log in to Bigstock with my old password yesterday. Then saw the same password reset email. I reset and logged in without problems afterwards, my earnings are untouched and so is my paypal account. Sorry to read someone's payouts are gone

1100 vertical images of swedish winter landscape on shutterstock and not one is good enough ?
Just shows there is no reason to go to Sweden at least in winter, I have better winter images from my area.
I find local images of places I know well and can be there at the right time often sell better than the famous places that are photographed thousands of times........

Envato keeps climbing the ranking - wondering if it is mostly due to video sales? I know people here complain the photos get a lot of rejections. Worth a try?
They review very slowly, reject very hard and frankly really stupid telling fantastic b*s* about their "strict standards" while accepting some obviously not the best clips. I'm lucky if I got 1 of 10 accepted They are surely not a huge footage seller (IMO for me yet). The most successful stories on their forum are code, AE templates or site theme related.
I see, thanks for the input

Depends on how good you keyword with them - they claim it is important for the most relevant keywords to come first. Then the content - it seems to me that Fotolia is more sensitive to certain content than Shutterstock and IS. But I could be wrong. For instance my guess is they sell models and illustrations better than travel. I do travel and sales are steady (up and down but steady), but still only about +/- 25% of my SS earnings and a bit less than IS too.

Thank you, yes I guess it's a July report on partner sales, still the fact that it was just one image looks suspicious

Sorry a bit off topic but still about bigstock. Just had a photo of mine downloaded 16 times within 18 minutes at either 1.5$ or 0.60$. Is it a glitch?? (I wish it wasn't)

Thank you for the link to the suit, what a read! What I don't get is - if Getty sells licenses to photos they aquired from public domains why would they even bother to track "illegal" uses of those photos in the web - they are available for free anyway, right? Or did Getty somehow considered those images to be exclusive with them after they became available for licensing? My bet is (based on everything I remember from "The Good Wife" haha) they will nego big in favor of Carol and avoid the trial. And then they will cut royalties on IStock down to 5% to make up for it

I'd say Fotolia review is pretty fair, higher and not as random as SS. Less downloads then at my indie IS account but a lot of nice thick commissions so more or less the same in $. If you're done with IS then SS and FT are your best bet
