Typically I take rejections and move on. My acceptance rate is 95-100% with different agencies. My acceptance rate from AS was closer to 100% than 95%. Suddenly, out of the blue I am receiving rejections of images that are accepted EVERYWHERE else. Bogus mark of technical issues. Focus at 100% (even at 200%!) and exposure etc are perfect. Same studio. Not like suddenly all is changed. No noise. Shot at 100 ISO on tripod.
So we all know AS rejection categories are not that specific. Not similar subjects. Not subjects that have tons of images already there but not niche area either. Not even that not of commercial value. Of course the images DO sell with other agencies.
Beyond frustrating. Yes move on, wait til the new reviewer(s) move on.
It seems like there is a reviewer or three that move between agencies that just reject things because. A year or so it was SS and then stops just as suddenly. Just frustrating.

I have been using the 2019 version of PS for years because I like the tools.
I finally updated to newest version of PS-- big mistake! First I got constant notice hat I needed to update driver. Did that-- still getting error message on driver. Now have latest driver available from 2022. Has anyone else encountered this?
Hate the new cursors for tools. Right now the new version makes my computer sooooo slow. Fairly fast computer-- a gaming computer with lots of RAM.
I really dread having to spend forever with PS customer service trying to get back the older version.

Recently got a rejection for similar image I supposedly uploaded. Huh? The only similarity was that it was a food photo with a plate in it!!! Different food from a different country. Never ever uploaded a photo of this food before and there are 0 photos of this food with that site or any other major stock site. What a joke.

Do reviewers ever get reviewed at the agencies?
Mostly I just move on because if a crazy reviewer declines a photo, others do not (including ones with generally stricter standards) but I have to wonder if reviewers are ever reviewed. One agency rejected a photo for focus or camera blur. Shot on a tripod (and with no tripod movement) and focus was on item-- every grain of sugar was in crystal clear focus. Sure there was some depth of field changes in the distance but not much because used small aperature -- the focus as on the main subject.
Part of me says fine, then agency does not deserve image-- because it will be accepted at bigger agencies with more sales. But I really find the ignorance irritating as a photographer who has been doing photograph for many decades.

I have my model release to upload on Alamy but cannot figure out where to upload it so that it becomes part of my releases to choose from when keywording each image. I wrote Alamy but the response was not helpful.

Have you ever had an editorial photo sell that was used for nefarious purposes/was likely to be used for such by their search or to imply something wrong that was not in any way implied by the photograph or in your keywords?
I know we have no control over how our images are used but is there ever a way to deal with this? If a news source uses a photo to push some false news, is it kosher to write to that news source with the facts?

Would someone please explain to me why photos of ballot box (has logos etc from US county doing election, no recognizable person) etc are not illustrative editorial images?
Rejection: File is not illustrative editorial

I cut and paste keywords. Now SS is not reading commas and makes whole group 1 keyword. Now have to type in each word individually. Anyone else having this problem who uploads on web? Would happen when trying to rest mouse hand and fingers. Time consuming.

Is there any way to check which image sales for one day. The daily earnings report email only shows one photo but from $ amount sold I am assuming I had more than 1 image sold not just one shown.
The insight tab provides no insight into my own sales, it only shows featured artists. The title of that tab should be labeled something other than Insights.
I am a little frustrated. What I sell on AS is very different than what I sell on SS and elsewhere so it is really helpful to know what sells so that I can shoot with different clientele in mind.

Has anyone else had this issue. I started using the Adobe Stock interface the past few days. Previously I used Fotolia. Once an image uploads, I am often getting thrown to this page which talks about submission guidelines. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/submission-guidelines.htmlThe problem is that my images do not have the problems they identify on that page. I do not get it. 1. No identical files-- if the main subject matter same, I am careful to make sure they are different. If an animal-- animal doing something different/different place. If food, different food state or process. Etc etc 2. Not copied. I never bother to look at other photographer's work. I even went to check to see what other files were available on AS for a certain subject after getting this message-- none! 3. Not public domain -- my own work. 4. NOT infringing, illegal, or pornographic content No issues with keywording because site takes me to that page before I even keyword. Image itself not grabbed at end. Not a matter of size or image type either. No need for model or property release (again, not grabbed before I could attach one anyhow). I notice that the automatic keywording often misidentifies the subject even if it gets category right so I am wondering if that is an issue. Food photos often include similar things as in dishware or flatware even when different food itself/different composition. Wondering if that triggers the move to this page. Anyhow, is anyone else having this issue? I am frustrated. One new image I never got to upload-- SS sales immediately. Would be nicer to get higher commission on AS. If there is something wrong, I cannot figure it out. Never had this issue with FT uploading.

I fell hard down a flight of stairs or weekend. Fortunately nothing broken and rotator cuff ok according to dr. Feet and leg better but my right arm and shoulder are in excruciating pain. Cannot hold medium-heavy things. Range of motion not much though slowly improving.
Any ideas how to hold and use camera? Tripod head with camera too heavy to control now. Having my husband play assistant would not be fun.
Only need something temporary so do not want to spend a lot of money. Need to photograph something Monday.

I prefer to upload via Fotolia side. Today I am having to log into every website everywhere, I assume because of a browser update. Using old links to indexing page on Fotolia, it still takes me to this Adobe pop up. Grr. Thee seems to be no way to get signed into the Fotolia side. If anyone has ideas, I woyld appreciate it. I prefer the Fotolia interface.

If I choose RM exclusive on Alamy, does this mean that I cannot make art prints for individuals? Does it mean that I cannot sell it to 1 magazine from my own contact and not through stock? Does it mean I cannot put it in gallery art shows or enter it into photo contests?
I have a couple of images that are unique. So far there are no images of this on internet and none at microstock agencies. I do not want to sell it though microstock.
Should I just do RM non-exclusive? I do not want to lock myself out of his one magazine using it. Subject is close to my heart as is organization's magazine. Niche but they have used some of my others for educational purposes.
I asked Alamy the difference but the answer I got did not really clarify.

I am curious to know if anyone else in Western US has been having issues photographing non-fire photos outdoors with all the smoke and haze from the wildfires.
Some photos are ok-- slight change in white balance etc corrects it. Others I need to just reject because the smoke and haze make things look odd-- but not odd enough to be part of the image. So weird to have good exposures etc but the subject looks off.

Today I has an image rejected as being a similar image. The image was not similar to my own in subject matter, composition or light submitted at same time or ever. Checked that they have too. It is not similar to images by others with agency and the lighting on mine is nicer than most there.
Annoyed. Oh, fine... that agency loses the image and others have it for sale instead. Move on and work on other images. What X rejects will sell on Y. Typically I just move on but this time I knew I could actually check.
Are there any agencies that penalize you for resubmitting? Normally I do not bother.. but this time might be worth it.

I tried uploading some images directly to Adobe instead of through fotolia.
Now I am getting an email asking for a government ID- should not his have been done when I synched the accts? Is this a scam/hack email?

Wood grain is not the same thing as grain noise.
Grain was the tern used in BW film photo, generally from film shot at high ASA. Digital photos shot with low ISO (200 ISO or below) in lower contrast light with no shadows or dark areas and no PS manipulation other than to remove dust spot -- not noisy.
At least it was a rejection that made me laugh. Oh well.

I have reached a point where I am starting to see rejections for lack of commercial appeal of aesthetic appeal or whatever as a plus... because those rejections are almost a guarantee that the photo will sell with a different agency. Seriously.
Already sold one today before it was rejected elsewhere today for that reason. Seems happen quite frequently.

Does anyone know a fat way to see if sales number for a particular image? I discovered one of my images on a website article. It has a tiny Istock watermark at corner, not the watermark that is all over the image. The usage editorial was correct. I am trying to weave my way though all the sales data to see if paid for but a bit overwhelmed by all the categories. Just want to know whether to be happy (sold) or report website.
