The web uploader doesn't appear to work. I uploaded several files and then it just looks like they have disappeared.
However, when I went into my FTP client and logged in to my uploads, the files I uploaded via the web uploader were there.
After going back to the upload page and the selecting "FTP settings / Check Upload FTP Results", I get a page that allows me to "process" the files that I uploaded via the web uploader.
This "upgrade" is flawed and much more time consuming than the previous uploader. Could have used a bit more beta testing before implementing this.

I'd also like to see an option to sell exclusive rights to an image.
The image would be no longer be available after purchase.
I have several old logo concepts that I'd love to make some money with.

If i am a photographer, i would not hesistate to join all the sites but for a illustrator, it's kind of a ego thing. Illustration takes years to hone yr craft and plenty of moment to create a good artwork. Selling yr artworks for 30 cents is hard to swallow. But with money dun come yr way, then what the use of having Good skills?
Careful, photography requires skills too. Skills that also take many years to perfect. If you've already abandoned the idea of being exclusive, sign up and contribute to all of them, at least the top and middle tier agencies. If you're hung up on giving up your work for $.30 each, then this is the wrong business for you. This game is all about volume. Selling that artwork for $.30 is tough to swallow. Selling it 500 times for $.30 (and maybe some extended license purchases) makes it worthwhile. Most sites automatically offer your vector artwork as raster as well, Shutterstock is the only one I contribute to that doesn't.

Having a problem also. Have a cople approved but they're not showing up.
If your images were approved, then you are not having trouble uploading.

Thanks Tinny.
I'm probably missing something, but it seems like a more complicated way of doing the same thing as before?
Directory link in the help section is not working.

I need some guidance on how to get started with the new and improved networking.
Is there a guide posted somewhere?
At one point I had chosen 5 sites to include in my network and then I was sidetracked with some other work. Now that I'm able to give my SY site some attention, I'm lost in symbiocards and csv files. It's probably simple, but frankly... as my 9 year old would say... "I don't get it".

I think I have figured this out on my own...
Shutterstock now sells 2 images for $29 - 30% commission on $14.50 is $4.35
They used to offer (up until last month) 1 image for $19 - 30% commission on $19 is $5.70

Traffic is dropping because I started selling direct. Sorry everyone.

no Dave, I had the same and I am sure hundreds also, don't get what is the big deal anyway with SOD pricing, I am happy to receive them aren't you?
Very happy to receive them, just trying to figure out how . it works. Why does one sale bring me $90 and the same file sells the next day for $.95 commission? Most of my sales this month have brought $4.35 and up until this month most sales brought $5.70... which was the reason for this thread and my questions. I'm not upset, I just want to know the reasons for the change.

OK, let me be more clear... Yes, there are sales that bring you $120 in commissions, and there are sales that bring $.95 in commissions. However, a STANDARD SOD sale has always brought me $5.70 in commissions and now they are $4.35. It seems that the purchasing options for single sales has changed. Apparently this change has only effected me.

Correct me if I'm wrong... It appears that buyers can't buy a single image anymore. It used to be $19 for 1 image, now it appears to be $29 for 2 images which may account for the lower commissions ($4.35 vs $5.70) that I have been seeing.

Last month the standard SOD download was bringing me a commission of $5.70, this month the standard seems to have dropped to $4.35.
Anyone else seeing the same?
Is SS offering special pricing this month?

Yes
A picture of a dog on a beach in Spain gone to the US. From what I can see the client arrived via Google Images and took around two hours from first visit to coming back and completing sale. Does not appear to have visited other sites in network, just a few other images of the same dog. Hopefully will get too busy to look at this sort of information soon but it is interesting to see for first Symbiostock sale.
Edit: Now I am at computer will add a link to show which picture (and I think this one is before I started concentrating on SEO) http://stockimages.kerioak.com/image/running-black-and-tan-dog-with-very-sandy-tennis-ball-in-its-mou/
According to Google Image Search, this image is exclusive to your SY site. This is something that I think is very important to having success with SY (or any other self-hosted site).

You had a pretty huge spike of starting traffic for a new site as well! Your images have a good sellable style. We should see if your traffic drop matches the date you upgraded to v2. I wonder if your title only trick squeezed your keyword density really well? Were your high ranking images title only?
Questions are fine sy is supposed to be good seo tool and I think you will recover when some basics are addressed.
I have no idea when I made the upgrade to v2. Is there a log?

I see some problems! So we have a slight diagnosis!
Fill out your author info completely and save it.it is in your User area and settings area. Admin is a User name that may be hurting you.
I'm having trouble understanding where this area is, what is the problem with having "admin" as a user? I haven't been paying much attention to the progress you have all been making with SY. I'm lost on the Symbiocard, I created a CSV file and it has one of my buyers listed in "symbiostock_first_name" and "symbiostock_last_name". Can't find where I can change this. Sorry for all the questions...

How much of the drop is because you are not working on your site? Unless you set things up specifically you working on a site is considered traffic.
Very true, but not enough to make this drastic of a change. Monday, May 20th: 202 visits from 190 unique visitors. Monday, June 10th: 21 visits from 20 unique visitors. I'm poking around on Google Image Search and finding some of my previously higher ranked images have fallen much lower in the results.

I have seen a big drop in traffic this month, and in turn, a drop in sales.
I haven't spent much time working on my site lately as I have been very busy with other projects. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar results?
