Sorry if this has been asked, I did look on the forum:

I am eligible for the Adobe creative cloud code and have been trying for the last couple of weeks to redeem my code. Every time I click the link within Adobe stock, I am hit with the following message on adobepartneroffer.com

"We are experiencing a network outage which is impacting your partner offer. We do not have an estimated timeline for resolution yet, but it's being treated with the highest priority.

Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Please check back soon."

In July my previous Adobe code expires and I'll get charged, so I am eager to renew this.

Any help please!

With all the worry about AI images ruining the industry, I just wanted to say that the new ChatGPT AI is actually really good at returning keywords with text based prompts.

"Give me 40 comma separated, one and two word keywords to describe a combine harvester in a field during the summer."

harvester, combine, field, summer, agriculture, farm, crop, harvest, machinery, technology, efficiency, productivity, work, labor, farmer, wheat, corn, oats, barley, rye, soybeans, rice, sunflowers, canola, sorghum, alfalfa, grasses, fieldwork, combine harvester, harvesting, agribusiness, mechanization, threshing, separating, collecting, gathering, storing, processing, agriculture industry, rural, countryside.

"Give me 40 comma separated, one and two word keywords to describe an office meeting with men and women discussing business."

office, meeting, business, men, women, discussion, collaboration, teamwork, decision-making, strategy, planning, brainstorming, presenting, sharing, listening, feedback, productivity, professionalism, corporate, executive, management, leadership, communication, negotiation, networking, brainstorming, whiteboard, conference table, laptops, smartphones, papers, pens, coffee, water, snacks, suits, ties, dresses, heels, business casual, office environment, meetings culture, office politics.

It's free (for now) and slow at times, due to the popularity. Everyone seems to be using it as their new personal work assistant and I wondered if it could be used to keyword for me. I know there are tools out there, but the results resonate so much better with me and feel like they've been pulled from stock sites.

Thoughts? You can try it yourself at https://chat.openai.com/

I spotted one of my images in a BBC property article, which seems to have captured a bit of international interest. I searched to see who else was running the same story and looks like it had caught the interest of a lot of news outlets around the world.

The issue I'm faced with is that quite a lot of the articles seem to have just copied/pasted the BBC and also use the image in their article. One website incorrectly credited the image and others just didn't bother saying the source.

The image is for sale across all the main agencies, but I've not had a single sale notification. The BBC purchased from iStock, so I'd not know the sales figure or what licence they purchased until next month. My worry is that next month I'm going to see just one or two sales for that image and know that everyone just grabbed the BBC image and ran with it.

So, I'm asking for those who get a lot of press coverage - is this just something you accept is a part of the editorial process or is it something you actively patrol and monitor?

General Stock Discussion / Is this a new low for video sales?
« on: December 30, 2021, 06:17 »
I thought that Shutterstock was bad, but this is the worst I've ever experienced.

How can the 1080 and 4K be the same price.

Edit: Depositphotos is the agency, they are currently investigating it following a raised ticket.

I'll start by saying that I was part of the Boycott Shutterstock crowd, but I was making reasonable earnings with them and was willing to take the hit on the new payment terms given this money goes back into paying for equipment/trips.

Got an email off Shutterstock two days ago to inform me that one of the images that I uploaded wasn't my own. Very blunt and to the point that my account was suspended and I am no longer entitled to be a contributor.

The email said that I was entitled to make an appeal, so long as I provided proof. So I did just that and sent over the DNG of the image in question, along with three other images from the shoot to show that I took the photos.

I've had no reply, aside from the auto responder promising me a reply in 24 hours. I also followed up on it yesterday afternoon (9am NYC time) to make sure that I'd really pointed out that a mistake had been made here.

Anyway, they've taken away my earnings and shut the account. So if there's a lesson to be had here, it's to make sure that you don't set your payout to $2000 and let the money pool up each month. They can and will pull the plug on you at any time, regardless of the proof you can provide.

General Stock Discussion / "Shifting Focus at DroneStock"
« on: February 19, 2021, 12:46 »
For anyone who has any assets with dronestock.com, I just want to let you know that they are moving to give away free footage in the near future.

"Regarding video footage, we're switching the site to a free stock model so all videos will be released under a royalty-free license. I noticed most of your clips are already for sale on other sites such as Shutterstock so you probably won't want to move those to the new DroneStock. However, if you do you have other clips you'd like to include for the free exposure, please let us know."

As far as I can tell they will only retain clips from authors who explicitly request to be part of the free model, but it's worth contacting them to say you want your footage removed and to voice your thoughts on the damage that a free stock business model has to us as the content creators.

Just got the email to say that everyone starts at 15% from the 1st January. Pissed off is an understatement.

You've got to hope for a good start to the year to have any chance of getting the 30% you were used to in February. Obviously for the 0.1% they'll be enjoying the riches of a 40% cut in no time, whilst everyone else who is slaving away and trying to reinvest stock money into trips will be having to save up a little longer, perhaps not even seeing the 30% tier given how the exponential sales targets are.

I've had a search of the forum and couldn't find an answer, although I'm sure it's been asked many times.

A few weeks ago, I had a run of purchases which I literally said to myself "Someone must be doing a documentary on that place"

Watching TV this evening, UK's ITV Channel, which is one of the biggest channels we have, the clips start showing up. I have a look at the clips sold after seeing the first one and the rest all show up through the production.

I checked the licence and they were purchased under Shutterstock's Standard Licence, which is not allowed for this type of production.

Can anyone let me know the process for claiming my lost earnings and if there's any penalties for the production company.

Newbie Discussion / Adobe Penalising Me For Withdrawing?
« on: May 12, 2018, 05:24 »
Hi everyone, new here.

I've been selling 99% Video over the last three years and have kept records over the time of the sales and have noticed a trend with Adobe which has got me worried that they're penalising me for withdrawing funds.

When Adobe is doing well for me, I'll see on average between 2-7 video sales per week and it's can be one of my better performing agencies, but I've noticed that after withdrawing funds the following 3-5 weeks have little to no sales. My biggest withdrawal from Adobe was at the beginning of April and since then I've had a whopping 1.20 in sales (a couple of photos).

Does anyone else keep track of when they withdraw and notice any decline in sales? When this has happened in the past, the charts do show that the sales pick back up, but it feels like something is happening to my footage rankings.
