Blue host down again? Sick of it

Really need to get my site moved to another host with 100% uptime. And money back from BH. Aweful performance.

I can advice anyone starting up a website NOT to go with Blue Host

Ugh, never moved a sited before, need to read up on that.

Someone just sent me a note saying that they could not get into my site but when I went to confirm that it was down it was back up again. I can see your site too Ron.

Didn't they have issues right after some server work several months ago and then things were running smooth for awhile?  I'm wondering because I had received an e-mail from them about doing some server work last week and now they are having problems again it seems.

Could it be something with an international connection or something on your end that's not connecting?   I can get into your site via the link in your signature and by typing it in. I can also get into both Symbiostock sites -.com and .org

I guess they must have redundant servers and something is down somewhere but not all of them and it depends how you are routed.  I tried typing your site into the "is it me..." Site and got results saying it was down but then went directly there and successfully navigated to several pages and executed searches.

Did you try posting on there Facebook page?  I think they were communicating via FBI last time they had issues. Maybe you can reach them that way.

I get "It's just you. http://semmickphoto.com is up. " here in Canada. I have a "PingdomAlert"(google it, free service) notifying me by e-mail when my BlueHost site is down. According to them, yes, there has been a hic-up, my site wasn't available for full 4 (four) minutes (240 seconds). I don't consider this being a big problem...

Its back up, no idea what happened, but all sites supported by BH were down for me.

Anyhoo, still sick of the repeating down time. I need to get a new host before June of this year.

Thanks all.

After too many frustrations with Bluehost, I ditched them late last year. Having a much better time elsewhere.

I upgraded to a managed VPS with KnownHost (Referral Link)

Costs a lot more, but much faster and fantastic service.

I use Green Geeks. Their customer service is very fast when you have a problem (a problem that I usually create...)

And they are eco-friendly!

I have a referral link somewhere but I don't know where...

I've been saying it for months now. BlueHost, HostMonster, HostGator, all run on the same servers and all are garbage hosting companies. I really don't know why so many folks recommend them, other than because they're cheap. So I guess if you want cheap and unreliable, go with these companies.

Otherwise, avoid them.
