Helo,

After several years of freelancer and sales on microstock sites, I said to put all my work on a platform and sell my works. Just my work, no collaborations or affiliates.

The website is:  https://buzzpixelstock.com/

I want to sell some of the design logo I've made for different clients, plus digital files under the Royalty Free license. And for Romania country I can deliver Canvas prints.
The website is made with WordPress plugin from cmsaccount.com
I would like your opinion on the website, I still have some changes, but I think it's 95% ready, what do you say?
Thank you in advance for advice.

Sorry for my english.
byman, you are selling well with your web? im trying to do the same, thanks!

Hy Rosebud7,
At the moment it's hard, I'm not known, the world does not trust, but with good marketing and quality services everything is possible :)
I wish you success if you start.

I used bluehost in the past when I had a site selling my images. It was slow then, too, because there are many, many sites crammed onto their server. There are some things you may be able to do to speed it up a little, but if you dont pay the money for a better hosting plan or dedicated server, you might be stuck. I know I didnt want to spend the money for a better hosting plan, so I went with the basic plan. Its a dilemma...you dont want to spend the money if you arent going to make any back, but if you dont spend the money, the site is difficult for buyers to navigate.

Better hosting? Like what for example?

Ah updating the blue host plan. I thought you were discrediting them for another company.

Bluehost is like ... premium-budget hosting. lol. Not the best and certainly not the worst.

The site looks good man. I'm glad you answered the question about selling designs though :) Good luck.

After being a customer for years with multiple sites, Bluehost's parent company tried to sell me on a security package to prevent wordpress hacks. I said no. A couple months later one of my sites went down. Bluehost said it was hacked and they would charge me hundreds of dollars to "fix" it since it would take an engineer a long time to repair. I went in and removed the bad foreign file affecting my site (after a 5 minute google search for that type of attack and a 1 min fix) and it worked just fine after that, but I switched hosts shortly after.

I am not accusing that company of anything, just that it seemed to be a very big coincidence that the exact issue they tried to up-sell me on occurred right after I said no. Plus it was really slow and my sites went down a few times a year. Happy I am done with them.

I switched to Dallas' new offering (bestwebsiteandhosting dot com). I didn't say because I didn't want to seem biased in the discussion :) Been there 3 months now I think, so far so good. I am very slowly rebuilding my stock site (photominingstock dot com) but I have had little opportunity recently. Only a thousand or so images up and the site needs a tonne of finishing.

This is who I use, reliable, up most of the time, 24hr support and they have actually resolved any problems including some I created. https://www.gate.com/

I'm running my own sites and a restaurant site I manage with them.

how will you "work on the speed" of site?
Bluehost speed will only change if you upgrade/pay more for a private server or did they tell you anything they can do to help speed on your shared server hosting?

Of course you can always try to optimize your WP site images, design, plugins etc.

If you build all in WP now and want to move to another platform later that is gonna be just like starting a whole new site all over again with all the same work. Do you have a platform in mind that can convert all your WP work easily?

Hy shooterguy77,

I'm working with a web site optimization firm, I'm waiting to see the results :) .
I'm not thinking in the future with what platform I'm going to implement, I'm exploring the market with WordPress and when I hit my targets, I'll probably change the platform.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. If you have a good experience with the optimization firm and can share the before and after Speedtest data please share here because it's not easy to find a good firm that delivers good results. I've tried a few with minimal success. Thnx:)

Hi byman!

Nice work on the site.

Curious to know what your expenses have been setting up the store and running it on a monthly basis. If you are willing to share that.

Very best,
Jacob

Hy jacoblund,

The estimated cost for the store is over 1000$ and I still have to pay for speed performance and marketing, Is so were small costs because I personally dealt with it (settings, edits, etc) and long time (we better pay a specialized company to handle everything).

Nice looking site, loads fast, good straight forward layout, easy to navigate. Since you have an account, how is it from your side for managing and uploading your work?

Am I correct, limited to selling prints/products?

If I see that right, Shutterforge takes a percentage, it's a POD site? I didn't go far enough or didn't find it. How much do they take off the top of each sale?

byman,

Have you sold anything yet?

I used CMSaccount stand-alone script lite version starting in January 2018. I still don't have a single sale yet. I have over 1,000 images and vectors. I spent a bit of Google Ads and Facebook ads, but still no sale.

When I used to use Symbiostock, I've had a few sales even with minimal marketing. I did not use Google ads nor Facebook ads.

Hi Jeffrey,

For now there are many who come, look, log on the site, but sell digital files, not yet.
I sold prints. It's hard at first, you have to give that confidence to buy from a new site.... but hope dies last :)
.
Nice website, I wish you success in sales.

Hi,

Is work fine, is simple to set up, is structured on modules.
They also have the free version with fewer options, so you can make an idea.

Site looks really great, however I did only one keyword search for dance and I got cinnamon sticks, a guitar fretboard, road signs and a blurry nightclub.  The last one likely has someone dancing in it.  ;)
