I gave you a like, but it doesn’t show up on your page. I mean number of your likes (14) wasn’t increased by 1. I noted this always happens when I try to like some Facebook page as my page. Why is it like that? Does anyone know? Is it because I gave you like as my business page, not as personal page? Is that the reason? I mean, likes of business pages are not counted on Facebook? I am not very familiar with how things are going there, that’s why I ask.

Anyway, interesting fact is that your page "Aroastock" is shown in listing of my "Likes" tab on my page:

But count of your likes on your page wasn’t increased by 1 after my like.

I liked it too! For just a few euros you can buy a facebook ad which will bump up your likes quite quickly.

I am not very active on my Facebook page trough. I try to focus more on Twitter and Google+. I think those social networks are much better than Facebook, especially after recent changes on Facebook, which want business pages to pay $ if they want to be seen.

Hey, hm, okay... quite honestly and straight forward: I'm not a big fan of simple "like my page" calls. Maybe it would be better to just tell what exactly can I expect to see when liking your page.

However, as this seems to develop into a "here we are" kind of threads, I will go through the FB pages shown and see which of them look interesting.

And yeah, of course, I've got one to. But please don't like it to be nice, there is really no point in having more likes if people end up reading nothing of what I post. You need to like it with your personal page and not your business page or it doesn't count. Not sure why they did that but that's how it works. Maybe because they didn't want businesses liking each other? Who knows but that's how it works. Try liking from your personal page and you'll see the likes go up.

I'm getting close to 650 "fans/likes" so I would really appreciate any help hitting my next goal. Liked all those above with my personal page so it counts and also liked at least one post if not more from each of you. Sure this has been done before here, but it's the kind of thing that works best in a new thread from time to time or it gets so unwieldy, so thanks for starting it ana - love your drawings! Enjoyed seeing everyone's work.

I liked everyone in the list. I don't post much stock, mostly print type stuff. My print income is growing while stock is declining, so we are focusing more and more on that. If you like vibrant photos from the islands then maybe you will like my page. I try to upload something everyday, or two. Thank you for your likes

If you like a page as your page, it doesn't count or show up.

Christian I haven't seen you here in a while! I think you went exclusive with Istock? If you can believe it I was just speaking about your work last week when at a resort in Cancun. I was at a wedding with all these beautiful young people. I asked the bride if she thought her striking bridesmaid might model for a few shots on the beach. There were 38 in our group and by the next day I think everyone had asked about stock photography. I brought up your beautiful beach photos and your lovely wife in the white bathing suit and broad rimmed hat, and although we never see her face, she is in perfect zen mode and makes me want to jump on a plane! THEN I went back to my room and opened a drawer - I'm sure it was her on the front of the tourist guide sitting there. Hope all is well with you. Enjoyed your facebook page!

Nice to hear from you! We are fine, hanging in there. We have a 3 year old son, so our hands are quite full. We went exclusive in 2010, when it made sense to go exclusive. Income immediately doubled, now we are back to what we were making pre exclusivity. I don't have high hopes for the direction things are heading with stock. The smart move for us is to look for another main source of income, with stock as a side gig. Adding a ton of material seems futile with the amount of images coming in. Funny you found my wife on the tourist guide. That happens a lot here in the islands. A while back I was trying to explain what we do for a living to a group of 8 people we just met on a boat trip. Not everyone understands what stock is. We walked into a bar and on the counter was a BVI tourist guide, anyway there was a about 10 photos of my wife in there. It was funny because of the timing, they all thought she was famous...
