Title: "Popular" search order broken ?
Post by: gnirtS on December 05, 2012, 15:29
Has anyone else noticed (or not) that the "Popular" search order appears broken on Shutterstock?

On my image gallery the page hasn't changed since roughly the 2nd week of November.  On the main site as a browser/buying the keywords i've tried search on all also appear to be stuck since that time and unchanging.

Is this an issue affecting everyone or just some of us with some terms?

If it IS stuck, is it actually worth uploading new content now?  If "Popular" isn't working which would appear to be the most popular buyer search method then any new content after 2-3 days in the "New" will vanish off the face of the earth and not be seen to sell again.

I did try to email contributor support but have received no response at all (not even a confirmation of the mail being received).

I think you were correct but the problem may have just been sorted within the last hour or so.

I very closely monitor the keywords recorded in the 'Darkroom' for those used when my new images are bought. Since early November no keywords were being recorded at all on 43 sales on new images. I'm pretty sure it was a closely related issue to the frozen sort-order. However I have just noticed that the keywords have just magically appeared on most of the new images.
