Wondering if there is some kind of catch-up going on at SS.  Has anyone else had a lot of el's today?  I had 3 that are not related whatsoever.  Gotta say, pretty nice to see the $84 in my account on a Monday morning.

I've had a lot of 5 cent backup this month too, and they were becoming quite uncommon.

I've just had one too. Must admit I'm grateful as the start to the year has been painfully slow everywhere.

No SS ELs for me yet today, but still hoping.

As for the start of the year so far, I'm very encouraged.  Jan 1 and 2 were very slow as expected, but Jan 3 -- a Sunday -- brought me sales similar to a weekday, my best Sunday ever, more than doubling my prior best Sunday.... and no ELs on SS or any other site... lots of normal downloads across the board.

As for today, Monday Jan 4... my sales seem to be picking up right where the week before Christmas left off, which was my BWE.

So far, 2010 looking great!

I got five today.  Which is totally unheard of!  Very, very nice start to the year.

Agree with Gostwyck, though - very slow everywhere else.  Looks like it is still December... Sad

Oh my gosh, my balance was around 2.00 when I went to lunch. Just checked now after seeing this thread and I have $113.00! Wow, Santa was here! This is awesome, considering I didn't even make payout for Dec.

3 for me, I hope this isn't a glitch, seems strange so many of us getting multiple EL's on the same day.

Doesn't it seem most likely that there was some sort of glitch holding up the reporting of ELs during some portion of Dec? And now they are all being reported?

Not that I had any ELs reported today.  Sad Then again, I haven't even had a PPD for almost 2 weeks, though I had plenty of them in the first 2 weeks of December.

As well as the 3 with SS, I had a $42 commission one with BigStock.  Who needs istock exclusivity?  This is far more fun Smiley

Got an email from Shutterstock saying they had settled a claim against one of their subscribers, and the subscriber that had breached the normal license agreed to pay for extended licenses for all the images they had downloaded and used in higher circulation than allowed without the extended license

I haven't gotten the e-mail, but once again I am very impressed by Shutterstock's going after license violators and collecting for us.

This is the second time I remember this happening on Shutterstock and I can't remember it EVER happening on any other site.

I'd agree __ and btw this is at least the 3rd time that it has happened to my knowledge. The first was never made public but involved a calender company who had used a couple of my images.

I think they have done this 3 times with me now too.  The other sites seem more keen to take money away from me.  All SS have to do is work out a good image exclusivity scheme and I will stop using most of the other sites.  I just hope they are planning something for 2010.

SS ROCKS Smiley Amongst all micros, SS is the most stable, reliable, helpful, friendly, easy, modest  and supportive site of them all.  Sure there are a few minor issues.... but these minor issues are nothing compare to the other sites.  On the money side, for me IS is first most of the time and SS second.
