Author Topic: Anyone else have high number of sales today at SS? (Read 3731 times)

It's a high number for me with a small port. Over 30 subscription sales, this has never happened before and I'm a bit suspicious. Most of the images are for one industry but a few are just outdoor scenes. Even an image that has never sold before. I barely make payout in one month so it's very unusual for me. I wish I could think it's a sign of things to come but I don't think so

Am I in danger of the sales being reversed?

Had a normal amount of sales, but a few for higher amounts than usual. My monthly average is about $150 at SS, and I'm on $167 for March already.

Yes a bit of an odd day yesterday a lot higher than normal but all subs

I also had similar days in the last two months things bumble along then a one day splurge then back to the "new normal" of rubbish

And as for refunds don't worry SS never give out refunds (that I've ever seen anyway)

But do they cancel out sales, and deduct the amount from our balances, due to reversals/chargebacks... like most other agencies?

Not all subs yesterday. Had a singles-sale for 43 bucks and some OD's. Funny but I am experiencing less subs these days. The takings are still bad in my books compared with what they used to be.

You should be worried. Too many cents and dollars can corrupt an unprepared mind.

The weird thing about this is they must be all from the same buyer as the last ten sales that I can see are the same buyer bought within seconds of each other from the same city. (I don't know how to check the rest of them). All of the sales appeared at once.

Not a big increase in number of sales, but for the first month (I'm new in the stock industrie) I've got some good SEO sales

What I am trying to jokingly say is that you shouldn't be worried about a few more bucks coming your way. Every now and then I have the entire portfolio purchased by an odd buyer. Usually subs. Usually in Europe. It's normal. No danger there.

On pace to be my best month ever by far. Definitely a huge jump in sales for some reason. Haven't really grown the port for a few months too. Seems like there may be something causing it. Maybe a big marketing push?

It should also be my best month in the two years I've been doing stock, but my best month is easy to beat. This is a good time for me to test the theory of a cap because if there is a cap I won't have too many sales from here to the end of the month. Time will tell.

One buyer found your portfolio and downloaded a large number of images on the same topic - that is normal and a good reason to have many in a series. It happens to me more often on DT than SS though. I predict your sales for the rest of the month will be normal - no cap for a few extra DLs. For me the month so far is the usual, except today I had a clip sale for $105 - don't get those very often but glad when they come.

Probably the new relationship with google. Google giving better ranking/exposure for them sharing customer & photographer data with google.
