Is anybody having problems getting into shutterstock.com.  The buyers site not the contributors site.  I can't get into it any way that I try it.  I get a 'bad request' error. Never had that before with SS.

That's strange.  I tried clicking on a SS link in another thread on this site and got the error message. Then I tried clickimg on a photo in my port and then put in the shutterstock URL in my browser all with the same results.  I'll have to try all the usual like reboot and clear cookies.

I've cleared cookies and rebooted my computer and I'm still getting the error in firefox but just checked in IE and can get the page from there.  Does anybody know what else I can try? The exact error is
 'Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit'.
I've never had any problem before, I can't even access my portfolio from firefox.

I tried at least 25 times to log in, always got Error: invalid security code.
I contacted support, then tried again and logged in successfully. If they check, they will not believe me.
BTW I'm really, REALLY tired of the captcha code.
How can banking sites use 4 or 6 digit numbers and shutterstock can't??? It's simply OVERCOMPLICATED.

I can log into the contributors site with no problem it's the buyers part of the site that I can't access at all.

Ah Nupe, no problemo.  Grin Must be some kind of local server DNS problem or something. Seems like you did everything you can beyond changing your default DNS server to 8.8.8 and see if that perks it up.

There's also the possibility that I'm somewhere where I get directed to a different part of their network, so your location could be down and the USA Mid-West could be fine.

Isn't there a site for checking if a site is up or down?

I like this one, it's got a cute name, but seriously works.   http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
Then enter the location/URL of the site you are trying to connect to, cut and paste works, and it will tell if it's just you or everyone.

I got this... It's just you. http://shutterstock.com is up.

Good Luck

The contributor site is down today - and it's not just for me according to that site!  Hope it's not a major glitch a few days from the end of the month!

Working now, one of those temporary things. I usually go someplace else and come back in 15 minutes and everything is back working.
