Title: Can you give me some suggest? GettyImages and Shutterstock or iStock?
Post by: aphotostory on February 17, 2013, 19:45
Can you give me some suggest?

I submited the application to GettyImages 3 days ago, but no result. ( Getty Images Contributor Services had reply to me, and said they would respond as soon as possible. They current estimated response time is 7-10 business days.)

Waiting for GettyImages? Or submit the application to become a Shutterstock contributor now?

Or Shutterstock and iStock application submitted at the same time now?  and the same picture upload to Shutterstock and iStock together?

This is my portfolio:

1 Don't wait for Getty
2 Submit  application files  on both sites but those images are more suitable for macro than micro sites.I'm afraid will be rejected for LCV
Nice pictures by the way but......... you'll see. Try Alamy but don't expect too much unless you have 10000 for the beginning :)
Good luck!

I think you will have a hard time getting accepted to Shutterstock or Istock with those photos.  Besides getting accepted, I don't think they will sell very well at either site.  Maybe try Alamy.

Thank you very much.
Yes, LCV is very important. I learn so much.

It's really a hard time. I have become a Shutterstock and iStock Contributor now. Thanks for your help.

It appears you are located in China. This is a very important market.

What you have shot is beautiful.  If you were to build a larger portfolio of the people, culture, landmarks, scenery, etc. I think you would have a wonderful niche that any stock agency would be happy to represent.

Best of luck!

To be fair I think tickstock was basing his opinion on the flickr photos you showed. I see u got on ss with 10 vectors. Well done.
