Each time I check an image, the check mark doesn't stick but changes to another image. Not only that the thumbs are miserable but some of them are impossible to recognize e.g. street numbers: they drove me crazy today, there is only a number visible but nothing in the background. So, how do I know if it is a street number or just a number?
Anyway, I tried several times to check every or only some of them but the captcha just changes the images with a new one, so I can't sing in. I tried to reload the page and the captcha, no success. It happened temporarily in the past too but today it's unbeatable.
Anyone having this problem, is there a workaround please? Thanks.

Had the same thing. Usually several additional clicks on new pics helps. As far as I know we all are doing recognize work for google street view clicking on captchas with store fronts for example :)

Thanks for your answer. Yes, usually several clicks helped but not now. I'll just wait for a while.
I don't understand what you mean in the second part. The images I had were just numbers with nothing in the background, just a grungy blur, nothing like street view.
Thanks anyway.

They all are the small parts of the street view photos which are MOST LIKELY are street numbers by google algorithm opinion. You, me and several millions of other people pick numbers which look like street numbers for them. If 100 000 users tell this pic is a street number - well, it surely is :)

You could be right although you, I and several millions of other people pick numbers which we know they want us to pick. I don't know any European countries where streets have numbers, they have names and houses have numbers.
Anyway, the same thing happens when I have to choose "green grass" or "water bodies",  the image doesn't stay checked but changes.
Thanks Irina.

All the captchas succeed in doing is inducing anger.

I think when they are getting you to do free work for them (I wonder how much they pay SS for our labor) in selecting for example water if you pick an image then they put a new image to get you to do more work (and supposedly this would be harder for a computer to do). This way you have to keep doing it 'til all the water images are gone (possibly with 2 or 3 clicks in the same image space).

This is nearly impossible when you have low bandwidth and poor connectivity. I wish we could all just type 000 every time a number is required - if enough people did it they would accept it (for a while).

When it was words you only had to get one of the two right and the other was decoding stuff for them. I'd write the one correctly and "get ****ed" for the other.

So, if you are doing work for them and guessing street numbers etc..., how does the captcha know, that you are right or not, when selecting street numbers, mountains...

When it was words they would present one image of a word that had been identified with the same answer several times by other users. I guess that one counted as verified. Plus another that hadn't been yet. I guess images are the same. You will have to correctly select all the ones already verified by other users and any others you pick help them identify those too. You can't game it as easily because you don't know which have already been verified and which haven't.

Finally I got the hang of it. I had to go through five loads of new images that were loaded after I checked the first requested ones. Each time new images were loaded instead of the checked  ones.

After each series of check marks there is a prompt in red that you should select more images but after the third round I thought it's broken, still I continued clicking so about 5 rounds and finally I won this "stupid computer game".

Now you know, if this happens to you, just keep clicking.

It's a shame that we have to waste so much time just to sign in to SS.
