Never noticed this happening before. On "my image by date" page I had a sale that posted for awhile and now is not showing. For me it's new. I have the page refresh every 5 minutes.

Have pics with sales not showing on Earnings By Date page and balance not updating.

Happened with me as well, I thought it was a refund but it showed up again.

Nothing to worry about.

Set automatic to refresh, no big deal, don't watch every moment, just look every now and then for update. Separate window on firefox.

Pretty funny. I guess that's the only way someone would see a sale show and disappear and come back again. Servers update and sync data. It must have hit one, then another and then got the update again.

I remember that someone had software that tracked sales and it was pounding the servers on SS so much, that they started the login and the re-captcha. Blocked the software in other words. No more public data access for SS. Now we all have to enter re-captcha every new login. (I seem to stay on for weeks, as long as I don't change computers, but some people it's every login.)

Imagine 66,000 people hitting SS for data, checking their numbers, every five minutes. (on their phones and their computers?)

I'm not going to say don't do it, but just consider the potential delays in service when a large number of people, do the same thing. Or that if SS sees the activity or finds it excessive, they might send you a note about automated data gathering TOS violation?

Never crossed my mind. I'll take that into consideration.

Yes, and I'll say, if I could get real time reporting to work on my phone, I'd probably install it. So we aren't at odds, I'm just amused.  :)

Don't you think Shutterstock encourage it with their map of the world showing downloads in real time and space.  They make it fun and keep their contributers engaged, sad but true it's the only agency tab I have open all the time.

Come on, admit you are addicted to checking your sales like every 20 minutes!  :)

Stock Performer seems to be in step with the real numbers - but the SS site appears to be having a spasm at present with upload thumbnails not appearing, inaccurate figures for images awaiting review etc. etc.

Much as I like SS this is a poor show and seems to be happening more often. I'm giving up until tomorrow.

Not really what you imagine it is. Sales and income can take from 48 to 72 hours to appear. It's not "real time" in any sense. People who watch for location of sales and the time are only seeing when it's reported, not when it was actually purchased and downloaded.

Add to that, the mystery location in the Atlantic off the West coast of Africa (no dot) and it appears that nothing is ever sold in the Western US.

I'd say the map is for amusement purposes only.  ;D

And of course, I like it. It is fun, you're right. That's the first thing I look at in the morning to see what was downloaded and where.
