Hello!

I am new as an independent and have uploaded my work to shutterstock. I tried to get about 200 images online and 116 have gotten accepted. I am currently trying to correct some rejected ones and resubmitting them after sharpening, cropping them and so on. Seems like they can reinspect it and approve them, it have worked for 4-5 pictures already. I hope to get about 140 files online and then start producing new content.

Well, I have 3 basic questions about shutterstock:

1. Is there any way to boost sales via arranging the files in groups? On IS we had lightboxes and some stuff you could do so that the costumer sees links to more of your files when browsing a single file. I see that there is something called "sets" on SS. But this is just to promote your files via other sites, like your private website and so on, right?
So is there any thing worth doing in terms of arranging your files when it comes to earnings?

2. I have about 30-48 keywords on my images, all quite relevant words, at least acceptable I hope. Is there any meaning in trying to narrow it down to say 30 words instead of 48 if all words are relevant to the picture? Would that affect the positions in the search results? It says that the file will be re-evaluated when changing keywords. Do they some times deactivate the file if the new keywords are bad? Or do they just leave it as it was before?

Are there any other ways of boosting your sales on Shutterstock?

1. Not that I know;

2. Buyers can sort results by New, Popular, Relevant and Random. The only method which *may* be affected is Relevant, although nobody knows exactly how it works;

Other ways: it seems that continuously uploading files can boost sales of old files as well - probably because they are doing what you ask in point 1 automatically by linking your old similar pictures to your new ones

116 is a very small number, there are almost 18 millions now, some of your files are very well done, I enjoy them but looking at my own sales, I see a bigger trend regarding isolations, people and some other particular files.. you need to shoot more "stocky subjects" where there are more sales
