Hello all,

I was wondering what was your  earning per picture of your portfolio in SS (monthly earning/total pics in porfolio)?
Excluding the extended licences of course since I will distort results
As far as I am concerned this number is quite stable for the past two months ( $0.44 for september and  $0.42). Porfolio +100

What is yours ? Huh

why take out extended licenses?  They are part of the earnings after all.

I think w/o will be more representative of the portfolio performance and this way easy to compare as well.

btw, I did not have any EL yet  Angry

Well, I have only been on SS for one month, so I am probably still experiencing the "newbie high" there, but for October I earned $2.11 per image (port size was 19 images at the end of October).  No EL sales, yet.

Overall I was very pleased, and it was very nice to get so many downloads there, since my ports at the other agencies were much slower to start.  (I think I waited 3 or 4 weeks for my first d/l at istock)

Thanks for replying, very impressive number I always thought $ 1 was very good but more than $ 2 is very very good.
My first month at SS was a bit higher also and it stabilized the 2nd months but I bet you will saty at more than $ 1 if you keep uploading
Good luck !

I did not calculate it exactly but I think my earnings are between 50 and 60 cents per month/image on SS, with ELs probably arround 75 cents.  With this it is my second best earner.

October: .74 per image at SS with 232 images

3.82 per image at iStock with 41 images - which puts SS and IS neck-and-neck with about 35-40% per site of my total earnings... September was $4 per image with only 31 images up. I was really surprised at the earning power of IS.

My average for October is $0.27/image.

Quite low but I uploaded very few images.

I'm shocked.  I always have in the back of my head that SS is the site that "only pays 30 cents" (well 25 until October!) so I was totally shocked when I saw what my $ per month per image is.  Last month $1.35, every month over $1 and in April - my second month there it was $3.23.  Those 25/30 cent sales sure add up.

Mine's about 50c per images (on SS only) - for a good month. I always had a feeling that I should sell more there. One of the things realized lately that when their search engine removes plurals from the keywords, your image does not come up in searches when somebody searches for plurals. If you put only plurals in, then it comes up for both plurals and singles! I keyword my images once for all the agencies I upload to, so editing keywords for every files that gets uploaded on SS is not an option (with my workflow). So some files just don't show up depending on how the buyer is searching. Now, WHY would an agency limit their own sales that way? .... but again it's the same as with ridiculous rejections  - I can only shrug... their business, they run it the way they want to...

Wow on a good month I average about 20c per image, I'm going to have to go some just to get anywhere near 50c an image.

Oh well I better get out and shoot some more images.
