Title: File size rejected
Post by: vlado85 on January 11, 2017, 04:19
Hi,

SS reject 11 my new photos - reason File size must be under 15MB for vectors and above 4MP for photos. One photo from same series is approved. My pictures are in a resolution of 16 MPx, size range from 4 to 6 MB.

The previous series was accepted.

What happens?

The same exact thing happened to me last night. I woke up to an entire batch rejected due to file size. Is there a need to downsize due to new requirements or something or was it a glitch?

Same here. Strangely some of the bigger files got through while some of the smaller ones were rejected for being too big. 4MP is awfully small.

Usually I upload files between 12 - 15MB. But most of the files I uploaded in the last six months were between 16MB and 27MB (not MP).
The last two days I uploaded about 60 files. About 10 were less than 15MB.
Two 17MB files were rejected for file size. The rest of them were all accepted although the file size was between 18MB and 27MB.
I will resubmit tsese two rejections in some days.

Same thing happened to me. It must be a bug in the system.

100% positive this is a bug! A couple of images rejected for beging too small while others from same serie passed. They will fix this soon, I guess.

I got 3 size rejections, too, for images that fit the size requirements. Something is broken, people are complaining about it on the SS forums; no response from SS admin that I know of.

woaw :

-very low sales since several months

-erratic approval/rejections email.

all this reminds me another agency...

Twelve more rejections today.
Five file for file size. For rest seven files the rejection reason box is blank. I can't know the rejection reason of these seven  files.
All twelve rejected files were part of a larger series of conceptual images that were recently accepted at SS and other agencies. All files were within the size requirements.

SS are you listening to this forum? I believe you do. So take some action to fix this issue.

Maybe they are running out of room on their servers! Ive seen a lot of Image Spam 50 - 60 images of the same thing with slight variations, that must be pain for a buyer to search through especially if they are not interested in that particular image.

I also noticed that my latest batch of photos were accepted but are not showing up in the portfoilo.
