So SS accepted my credentials and now I have to upload my first batch of editorial images.

They told me to upload everything in one batch and then put a note to reviewer with number of my credentials for whole batch.  Will there be a drop down menu for this with a place to enter the number?  When I upload commercially, there is a drop down menu to go to reviewer but option is limited and allows one not to say anything.

I am not FTPing images but using web to upload at this point.

the submission is no different from regular submission.
once you 've done editing, you click submit, there will be a drop menu
where you enter the credential #

thank you.  since they said they wanted them all in one batch, do not want to mess it up and then get stuck.

They don't have to be all in one batch. Only the photos from that exact case number can be in that upload submission. When you add the number it goes for all files in the batch, not by individual files.

that's right. when they say a batch, they mean that each time you submit anything
..singly or with another,  put only those of the events that you got the credential # applied.

iow, if you have commercial, or another editorial not referring to the credential, you
don't include them . you edit the ones relevant to this credential #
and submit them separately.

does not have to always be done all at once. there are still events from a certain credential #
i still upload after months of nothing done.
just remember which credential is for which event.

So I got this rejection:  Editorial Caption--Image requires proper caption when I used the same caption as I-stock.

Is there a place on their website where they list the format they want?  Searching the forum brings up nothing.

more or less goes like this;

CITY, COUNTRY - MONTH DAY YEAR : The remainder is a factual description of what the photo is showing. If it is an illustrative editorial, you need to include "illustrative editorial" in your description and in your keywords..

I think I remember seeing somewhere that they no longer require us to put a qualifying statement as to what makes it 'newsworthy' so you don't need to include statements that don't directly describe the image content.

yes, and be throughly careful with your description as this is where you get downloads or not.
has something to do with what pauliewalnuts  say regarding search engine formula or whatever
the proper term for successful stock sales.

thank you so much!  I did a search in the forum and for help and nothing came up.   Not sure why the search engine brought up 0.  Going to email myself this link.

These are documentary editorial photographs.
