Topic: Is Shutterstock redirecting OD sales to BigStock?

(Read 2269 times)

Maybe its just me, but my on-demand sales at Shutterstock have been dwindling the last several weeks while sales at BigStock are picking up for the first time in over a year.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

Anybody know if SS is actively marketing BigStock to its OD customers?

Actually, quite the opposite for me.  BigStock has been pretty dead for quite a while, but SS OD sales have picked up greatly in the last few months.

My stats don't show it. The OD % has been rising for me and is at 30% of my earnings this month.

This month slightly less ODs than usual, but not a big raise on BigStock downloads. I blame the less OD sales on eastern holidays & all that.

Lisa, I noticed the same thing with my portfolio - less OD's at SS and many more sales at BigStock (last month was nearly my best ever there).

SS OD sales are still strong.  BigStock picked up a bit last month but still below 50% of my BME.  Perhaps they did some marketing with the new look site launch?

I'm not seeing that lisa.  My OD sales are still good at SS but BS is also picking back up at the moment.  This time of year is always good for me.

For me SS OD's remain the same -

BS - all doom and gloom!

Same here. BigStock are picking up but it is only noticeable because of the incredibly low base that they are starting from.

Exactly, and for me the fact that there seem to be a higher % of 2$ sales than usual.

I am not on SS but my BigStock sales are running double last months. I sure hope it gets better than it has been as the last 4 months have been in the gutter.

Time will tell.

I've had more than usual OD sales this and last month at SS. I also had a BME at Bigstock last month ...

More OD sales than ever at SS.  BigStock is a little down this month after a BME last month.

SS OD's account for almost 50% of my earnings this month so far and BigStock is doing well, too.

Thanks for all the responses.  Sounds like results are all over the board.  Guess I can't draw any conclusions one way or the other...  Undecided

BigStock is a dead duck for me but SS is growing month on month, had a few OD's this week on SS but not a single DL on BigStock
