I know everything has slowed down there a lot over the last 18 months, but I've gone from average 80 downloads per day to around 40. Today is 7? Also, my Stockperformer won't download any information for Shutterstock today, which makes me wonder if there are site problems?

I had a lot of trouble opening my contributor page this morning, so with the stats not downloading to Stockperformer, I'm hoping there is a problem that has caused a delay and the numbers will suddenly jump.

If not, perhaps it's time to trow in the towel?

Shutterstock is stirring their algorithms to spread sales out among contributors.  The idea being to continue to take in money from sales, but not have to pay out as much, because no one contributor will make enough for a payout for a long time.

You know what, that makes no sense at all. They can't do anything with the money they owe except hold it. How do they gain from taking in money, but not paying out as much? Didn't they lower the payment threshold.

Nothing conspirative about simple programming. If I owned stock agency of that magnitude, I'd do the same, saves quite a few bucks monthly and creates a bank credit effect without interest.

Shutterstock is certainly mashing up search algorithm, but I don't believe for this reason. Why should they lower the payout limit month ago?

By the way, I have just reach third level earnings in these unlucky days... 😁 listening to conspiracy I should have to be blocked before.!

(sorry for my poor English)

You left SS still. How do they make money from spreading sales or delay payouts? I make payout every month.

Commissions owed are not an asset they are a liability. Sales commissions appear on the income statement, typically listed as an operating expense. The income statement starts out with total revenues, then separates out the cost of goods sold to provide the gross profit from sales. Below gross profits, you list your operating expenses, which include wages and commissions due to employees.

Accrued commissions, those that are owed to employees but have not been paid out, also appear on the balance sheet as a liability.

The agencies can't use this money, it's not an asset it's a liability. That's why they have lowered payout limits so they have less liability. There's no gain to capping low earning people, below the $35 limit. It's a empty claim with no logic or advantage to the agency.

I propose to rename this board from microstockgroup to microstockconspiracygroup

Try to get rid of one and another will show up. It's easy to make claims and find impossible or illogical conspiracy. Then anyone who explains why it's not true gets tagged as a ghostbuster and ridiculed. What should happen is people could remember who spreads these false rumors, and tag them as unreliable gossips.

Nothing like what my page looks like. Let me guess, new interface rolling out. Best Match is usually the same as Popular, but popular isn't popular as any of us would imagine it could be. If what you see is the future, hardly a loss, unless someone made a search and wants best match, or most popular. That's different from, just looking at my portfolio and seeing best match, asking myself, to what? There's no search term just my whole collection. Nonsense either way.

Now maybe they can fix most popular to be something that makes a little sense, instead of an unsold new photo being on the first page.

appalling week...first 17 days incredible with 5 72 dollar sale and 3 more for 42...look for best month eve,,+...then last 7 days ouch..32 dollar total.....but this site has not cap:)....i had already predicted a strong slowdown in the end just to compensate the rise in the first 17 days, but never thought something like this....only sub. today 10 sub.
unbelievable that people still think they not control the sales.
every agency has a random path, every one...shutterstock is super predictable every month.

You're simply describing what is a statistics that gives you a medium result :)

A cap?
On the other hand you should speak about a too high presence in the first middle.
It's your words... You had an out of normal great days.

Statistics could easily predict high chance of fall down in second half of the month, just to reach the medium

Sometimes this doesn't happen and it's really an excellent month. But if it's happen...
It's normal, not a cap

I propose to rename this board from microstockgroup to microstockconspiracygroup

SS announces Approved video clips will now be visible and accessible via the Catalog Manager. This will allow you to perform all the functions currently available for images (sorting and filtering), except for creating Sets. We can edit keywords, change thumb, all kinds of new editing.

First six messages are complaints that they can't create sets. Nothing good or change for the better is without a scream of microstockcomplainersgroup...

I have a cap, it says NY Yankees on it.
