My sales dropped for 50% or more in last week on SS. How about you?

Last week was Thanksgiving in the U.S.  Most businesses were closed on Thursday and Friday.  Many people also take off the whole week for vacation.

From here on out, I think that there will be a slowdown in sales.  Angry

The days leading up to the Thanksgiving were great!  But...here it is Tuesday and my sales are still at Thanksgiving levels.  What's worse is that my one referral, who has under 100 photos that are mostly basic backgrounds, is outselling me and my 1400 image portfolio!  What a blow to my ego!  ;-)

November is going to be one of my worst months, and December looks to be even worse.
What a drag.

Whenever I feel an ego drop I scroll through recent uploads on any micro site. I wallow in the shots that I could have shot better and ignore those that I couldn't.

Other times I feel as if I was the second fastest gun in the West. Always looking over my shoulder.

I only uploaded a couple and after such a great October, my sales are down to August level. But I've been lucky to have some EL's in Nov, so it will be my best overall month there.   I just hate seeing declining downloads...  I can't see myself having time to shoot much new before Feb either so it's just the beginning.

Already a BME by 10% with 2.5 days to go.  That's with Thur-Sun being slower than normal

I'm on pace for a great month, maybe best ever.  I might hit 500 downloads for the first time which will be a really cool thing.  So perhaps I'm stealing your downloads  Tongue ... okay thats a stretch, although I wouldn't mind a few more pushed my way

My best month ever in numbers of sales and close to that in amount - even with no EL's to boost the dollar amount.

I sold a little over two hundred this month, so it wasn't too bad. But I'm afraid there will be no payout this month. Undecided

Won't be my best ever, but certainly not my worst ever. It's a decent month.

SS has been very steadily growing for me without a lot of new uploads. It has nosed out iStock several times the last few months. IStock has been in steep decline for me for over a year starting with the disamb torture and probably even more because of the changes in the "best match" sorts. My best keywords on iStock are now ineffective in all but the "age" and "downloads" sorts. Somebody there seems to be stacking the deck against us independents in my opinion.

SS is not doing so well for me. Increasing sales at IS, DT and FT compensates for that, and the gap is getting smaller.

surprised to hear this at SS as last month was good and this month even better for me with over 800 downloads and an EL sale, also my referrals have had a stella month so all in all delighted with results as my Portfolio is just over 400 Files ....

In contrast to IS which used to be my top earner and is now like watching paint dry  Cheesy it is now the last place I check

Downloads have been a bit disappointing for me, but I have had 2 EL's this month.  So earnings have hit BME status, and are clearly ahead of iStock for the first time ever.

I was just going to say the opposite, wondering if anyone else noticed a surge of sales.  I think it is just ebb and flow.  Things go up, and things go down.... Smiley

This month was rather slow to begin (didn't upload much neither in the beginning) and it's not going to be my BME, but i still had a BDE this week with close to 500 downloads on a day  Grin But that probably had something to do with me uploading a lot on the same day.

Overall a slow month, with the exception of this week.
