Me too. Is it possible that the higher volume of new images every day, is slowing down index build plus other processing for new images thereby taking it longer for new images to actually appear in searches ? I say this because, if you go to 'Portfolio > Approval Status: Images' and click on the approved image IDs, it takes you to the Image details page for the new image. It just seems to take more time for them to appear under the personal portfolio and in searches.

No, my images always showed up in a few hours. Its longer than normal now. But I am sure they will show up eventually.

Seems to be a weird month! A lot of sites are having issues plus sales have truly sucked!  :-\

Happening again, is it only me?
I kind of have a feeling that SS do it intentionally, once every week may be, to give all the images enough exposure before get sunk.

I am waiting or 19 images to show up approved yesterday early morning

I had some stuff approved on 21st - it's still nowhere to be seen. Also, the reviewer missed one of the images and it's still sitting in the queue to be reviewed. Something doesn't feel quite right...

I'm not seeing approved photos showing up in the search as well. I will contact support.

This week for me:
- Raster illustration showed up within a couple of hours of approval
- Photos yet to show up though they were approved more than 36 hours ago
- Vector illustration yet to show up and it is about 12 hours since approval

If I may offer a guess, the volume of images and the servers and/or directories required to house them cause delays when even more new data is added. It's common on Dreamstime and their answer is that their servers index the content each night. It's been complained about on istock too. The standard reply is (on DT) "For newly approved images, it may take up to a week to be properly indexed and appear in searches." In general, on any server "searching is available after the initial building of the index, which can take up to hours or days, depending on the size of the specified directories, the speed of the hard drive, user activity, indexer settings and other factors." I fear this is the future of all of these sites. Too much data and more added every day.

But SS was never this slow. Well sometimes, but it will always pick up again. They have been adding 400k images a week for a while now. Last week my images were indexed within a few hours. So its not the amount of data, I am sure of that.

It's not (mainly) the number of newly accepted images that makes index building a heavy task, but even more so the amount of existing images (=existing entries in the database).
It's the kind of problem that steadily grows with the growing collection...

While I have no idea what's really the issue, the effort (and computation time needed) to maintain an ever-growing library must be a huge challenge.

It doesnt go from fast to slow in the span of a week. And the computing power is there, they wont be operating on the limits of their capacity. If they are, they are not a technology company.

When one server fills up an additional one must be added. The location of the (possible) new server is a factor.  Lag can be a result of being geographically far from the server host. What I'm trying to point out is that there are many tech factors behind the scenes that contribute to how fast new files can be indexed, added to the directory from which views are pulled and become visible.

This is getting ridiculous.

I uploaded some images to appear monday at the beggining of the week...
And now the week is gone and they're still not online.

I bet they'll show up already buried on saturday morning  :(

Yep, approvals from a few days ago still not showing up. I wish that would give my Sym site a head start, but it doesn't seem to work that way. ;)

I don't see how it could be a server problem, since we're all from different parts of the globe.

I've noticed this for months now -- images leave the 'to be reviewed' area, and show up in the accepted/rejected listings, but don't show up in the image gallery for another day or so....

among the many problems SS has with poor reviews, etc, I'd rate this a very low priority concern-- microstock is long term, and a day or 2 is not going to make much difference in annual sales

Anyone else? New approved batches not showing up

Wow this has never happened before.  ::)

Quote from: Vincent Shutterstock
Newly accepted images and video submissions usually show in your portfolio and the New and Random search results within 24 hours after approval. In certain cases this can take up to 72 hours.

Indexing in searches and categories, as well populating the Content Manager and processing any change to your content or account will also take up to 72 hours.

It's been going on for over seven years. It's a standard reported "bug" that's not a bug, if people wait 72 hours before reporting it?

We'll there goes that theory, In ten years I never even thought about this stuff and still Don't when Im done I upload. Thats it. My job is to shoot and repeat. not worry about this crap. site is slow/ Site is fast...Bla,Bla. They all get done my friend. GO SHOOT!!! That is what counts. Worry about what YOU control , Not what you don't.

One of the first times this happened my uploads were indexed right before about a week of no new images indexed. Luckily for me I had just uploaded a pretty good image that was seasonally in demand. It was on the first line of the "newest first" search for that term. After that fortunate (for me) week it was on the first line of the default search for a year or more - in fact I think it was somewhere in  the first 3 lines for about 4 years until they changed the search which made it disappear for a few weeks and then it re-appeared on the second page which cut downloads to less than 1/2 of what they were.

We have no control over this sort of thing, but don't fool yourself into thinking that it doesn't make a difference in some instances.

I hear that, I had an Image that was #1 Most Popular for 8 years in football. It was #1 from the day I uploaded it in July 2005 till march 12th 2012 when they decided to change everything. 5600 DL's  were history and it landed on Page 35 or something. It tried to come back. Now it's once a week. I hear ya. It was copied a 100 Times and never made it. I hated them for doing that AND...... They took away My referrals which made me a lot of money for years. I Had some major Players. If I would have known this. I never would have referred them. They said forever. I believed it. and it was a Lie.

Image approved this morning already online. The others images are not there yet approved 2 days ago. That's not good. They're dead and buried when they get online.

I tried that and SS rejected the re-submitted images with a message on the lines of "please explain why you are re-submitting previously deleted images" so don't try it  :(

They track everything, I have been burned a few times, they know the history of every image. I am playing it safe these days.

In a rather stunning turn of events, a jpg I submitted this morning was approved in record time, appeared immediately online and sold as an ODD within the hour. I am amazed. I think that's a first for me.

There have been lags of more than two weeks reported in the main missing image bug thread and shutterstocks official response was to say that deletions/resubmissions are explicitly forbidden.

Basically if our/SS system is faulty and your images do not sell because they become buried TS.
