It looks good but the "clip art" guy is still there.

Totally generic. Could be a logo for anything. Wonder why they don't change their name to "Blip" or something. That would blend in nicely with the new logo, and they could add new business, like selling electronic bottle openers on ebay for $9.99 a piece. Or whatever...

Yes, I agree with epixx.  Probably got it from one of those logo farms.

I don't have too much problem with the new logo, but I feel the (clip art) guy) with the camera really conflicts with it.

I really think he should be replaced by something modern.

On SS forums they have a thread about it as well: http://submit.shutterstock.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44431
I posted there yesterday that I was not impressed with the new logo, saying that when I logged in on SS the first time this logo was around, I first thought that I by mistake got to the stock site with Dreams in its name. I also said that the new logo does not say anything to me, which concerns either stock or photography or both. Oh, and I did mention that I liked the old logo.

When I checked the forum today, the post was deleted. Oh, well...

However, the point remains - the colour scheme and the roundness are too close to DT's logo

My opinion of the logo:

"Limited Commercial Value--We do not need this image at this time."

and

"Too Simple--Overly simple vector."

the new logo somehow reminds me of the DT 's logo.may be it is the color and the basic shapes that are similar.like DT's logo it doesn't give you hint  that is a photographic website but I am not sure how important that would be?

The Thought Police at work on the micros' forums. Mustn't say anything bad about it.

Sounds like the Olympics Syndrome.  :-)

This sort of censorship is spreading. That's why we need forums like this.

SS are terrible for this, and so inconsistent. The worst thing is that they don't just lock threads, they'll delete or edit specific posts, which is not only censorship but also can be really misleading for anyone that reads the threads. With the above example it would be very easy to make it look like most contributors love the new logo when most don't like it.
But then that's SS through and through.

And never ever write anything that might discredit the resident b*llsh***er!

I think the new logo goes along with their ads - OK, but pretty disappointing for a company that's in the visual business. Looks like the sort of work you get when a relative does it for free :)

I'm guessing they wanted to be more inclusive of all the content types they now sell, but this is completely forgettable.
