wow, a new speedy site, and promises of exciting news.. i wonder what is in store.
here is a quote from the Shutterstock admins.

"Once again my programmers have exceeded my expectations.

We arent going to give away any secrets on how its done but go to http://www.shutterstock.com and try a few searches.. Move from page to page We pushed our lightning fast search algorithm live a few days ago and sales are skyrocketing as a result.

Buyers are downloading more and more of your photos at super-fast speeds and yesterday was our largest payout day in ShutterStock history. We keep the site simple and without distraction. The only thing we want buyers to do at ShutterStock is download your images and they are doing so at an unprecedented rate.

Week after week we reach record payout days and continue to exceed our goals for selling your photos.

We dont plan to stop anytime soon. In fact, within the next few weeks we will be releasing our most exciting news yet.

Stay Tuned!

Jon Oringer, Founder/CEO
ShutterStock, Inc."

wow, looks promising.  This has been my main site, and there is good reason for it.

hello, I just want to know why shutterstock didn't accept free email account
Quote
Please avoid FREE email accounts (yahoo/gmail/hotmail) and make sure your email address is valid. Payment will not be issued if your email bounces.

i'm using a gmail account as a primary email account and i don't want to open a new one only to use it with shutterstock... if i'll subscribe with my gmail account they refuse my subscription?

Well I think it has to do with security.  I think they have had problems with people abusing their photography accounts before, but I am not sure.  You probably have an email account with whoever you get your internet from though, you could just use that and avoid having to open a new one.

I use a gmail address there.  It's never been a problem.

well there you have it.
It DOES say that you should avoid those emails addresses, .. it does not say that you CAN NOT use those types of emails... so perhaps it is a just a preferance but nothing they are going to deny you an account over.  Perhaps it has to do with spam filters and problems with returned emails.

I am using my Hotmail account, so there is no problem there....Just make sure you type in the address right and make sure that your email blocker is set to accept email from shutterstock and you should be good to go!
