Hi!
A kind of strange thing has happened to me regarding "Single & other" downloads on Shutterstock and I would like to ask you if it is just me or it is happening to others as well. :-\
I have had around 20 SOD every month until April. In March I got actually 2 different bigger SOD (40$+) sales too. But following that, in April I had 0, in May 0, and in June only 1. How could they disappear like that, from 20 to none at all? Could have been a search algorithm change? Is it a "cap"? Strange, nonetheless.

All is normal, Earth is still round ;)
For me:
19.4% of my June revenue (so far)
13.5% of my May revenue
is coming from SoDs

Sorry the OP was asking for a valid answers to a valid question not sarcasm
Any way I had a similar period in April with 3 weeks of no SODS, then as if by magic they started up again to their regular daily output.

There is a natural ebb and flow to microstock. Like the tide. And yes, algorithm changes, too. Plus millions of images added monthly. Plus millions of contributors added monthly (I jest, but not too far off.)

SODs are rare and theyre usually a pittance
However this month and last I had a couple of fairly good SODs, but that is very rare for me

Yep. Subs month for me too which is always a bit of a worry. But I imagine the wheel will turn again.......

Had 4 small SODs so for me they are rare but not as rare as ODs, 34 days since my last one! Almost the whole of June (4 days to go). Never happened before. SS is now in 3rd place for earnings unlike a couple of years ago when it was 90%. Depressing.

Yes, they're manipulating SODs. I used to get so may that some days they were almost overtaking my sub sales. Then on March 20 they screeched to a halt. Now I'm lucky to get a few each week. The change was very sudden and dramatic. I don't know if they stopped pushing them to buyers or shifted an algorithm, but they definitely did something.

My SODs are about 10% of the total in the last few months including this one. About the same for the all-time earnings. And that's many years. So, I'd say not much has changed.

Yeah, my overall SOD revenue share is ~19%
So, June has pretty much the same levels as always, indeed!

To OP, you do realise that your title is misleading right?
Why not add "I have" to "no more "Single & other" sales on Shutterstock" if you really believe that you won't get any from now on. I believe quite a few others got SODs.
To me, this month I have more SODs than any previous month this year.

I had not been paying attention, but I just checked and through March I was getting lots of SODs every month and starting in April they dropped off to about 20% of what they were before. I hadn't noticed because until this month I was getting enough high-value SODs ($40-$75 range) to keep the money in there. This month is terrible, but June is usually a bad month so not too surprising. July is usually my second-worst month so not looking forward to that.

I used to get lots of SODs. Now, a few months ago there was a sudden drop to 0.
Just when I am so close to actually reaching a raise in commission. Also a sudden drop in subscription sales though less drastic.
I have made more the last 3 months with agencies that others consider dead.

This month (June 2018), I got SoDs on 20 out 28 days, so far. Quite often, there were several SoDs per day, including 3 digits SoDs

This month SOD = 0.35% of my income at SS
June 2017 SOD = 3.0% of my SS income
June 2016 SOD = 8.8% of my SS income (and the total was almost 2x what I've made at SS this month)
I haven't had a "big" SOD in over a year, and now the ones I do get are usually between sub and OD values or for just sub value.
For me it seems like more of a gradual decrease in the number and the value of SOD sales than a sudden stop (but I haven't really looked at the numbers very critically).
